[The man in frame isn't actually quite in frame. He has the device propped against something and the camera is in his direction, but his roommate is out and he doesn't quite have the angle right.
What is in view is the bottom half of his face -- the frame cuts off a little below the lower half of his sunglasses -- and most of his torso. When he talks, he doesn't address the camera at all.]
It's come to my attention over the past month or so of being here that a lot of us from different places. Now that does sound like an obvious statement, but hear me out a moment.
For instance, my roommate knew me when we first met. He'd known me at home, but I had never met him. Or you meet someone almost the same as someone you knew from home, but with some key differences. It's happened a few times now and I'm just curious as to whether anyone else has experienced this phenomenon?
