So all this tension between Wyver and Olympia and stuff has me wondering...
Does this remind anyone else of before a war broke out in their homes? Granted I was like.. a little, little kid when mine first started but I remembered this kinda junk going on.
Earthers vs. spacers even out in the streets, that kinda thing.
People acting like they're better than other people because some politician says so, or, you know, some legacy story that makes one 'better' but, you know, when a place is destroyed because some politician wants money or whatever everyone starts looking a lot alike, right?
Also curious if anyone's planning on joining up with one side or the other and why, if you are..
No ulterior motives and definitely not taking names for a roster for someone or anything, just curious on why a refugee would feel so connected to a place already or something like that.

I've been living in Olympia since we got here and I think if you live here or in Wyver, you will have to choose. Hard to stay neutral when it's the land you're living on that's going to war.

Yeah. Like I said I was a kid but I remember what it was like. Sucks that you've been involved in multiple though. Not a great time for anyone.
I'm in Wyver for the moment, but I don't think it's really in my cards to fight one way or another. I just got done with fighting and I'm not feeling it, honestly. Plus, I don't like either side enough to bleed for them just yet, if I'm gonna be totally honest.
Problem being, then, where the hell to go after that.
Could become a cave dwelling hermit but.. hair's too long for that mess.

Best just keep your head down. Hopefully you're young enough that you might not even be expected to choose. Let people assume, if you must.

I don't think I've ever sat through a proper English class in my life so.. no clue there.
Either way - Whatever makes you feel better, I guess. Even if it's being better.

And, I believe, I've already joined a side.
no subject
Agreed. Except I don't even have my favorite weapon here to use if it comes down to it. Lame as hell.
Man, you can't just lead on like that. C'mon, who ya got?
no subject
And I'm a member of the Royal Guard. With that information in mind, take a guess.

There’s a chance anyone can pick a fight anywhere.
Isn’t like it’s compulsory to share anyway. “Discretion” and all.

Can't blame you there. I'd be on you guys' side too, if it came down to it.
And, well, I wouldn't blame you of all people for choosing a side.

I don't think I want to join a side before I find out information from both sides...and even then I'd rather help the people than a side itself. If it means having to life on one side while the other hates me...I'll still try to help that other side in need to the best of my ability.
no subject
That's my line of thought too. I can't justify aligning with either side considering I've only known one or the other for a few months and .. well you know no state is going to plainly tell you what their intentions are.
There's always smoke and a mirror when it comes to that kinda crap. Which is annoying, but the truth.

It doesn't matter how big the war is, where it is. The feeling is the same.
I hate it.
no subject
So you've been in a few?
Sucks, man. Hopefully they'll head this one off instead of letting it happen.
Just don't know if we should have that kind of faith in them, either.

i've had enough of dealing with that sort of thing back home being in a similar situation to this.
no subject
Yeah, I'm the same.
Plus, I'm not sticking my neck out for people I don't know anymore. It's too risky and the wrong people die.

[ ...ha ha ha. ]
as for me, wyver reminds me more of home, but i don't have anything against olympia. if i were to take a wild guess, i bet any real threat to the both of them will come from out in their star system.
[ that's how he's used to it going, at least. ]
no subject
Yeah, unfortunately.
Not a too far out thought, at least. Whoever would threaten them from outside would do best to let them go at each other before they come planet side, though.

Honestly I've never fought someone else's war, and I'm just really not interested from the get go.
I got like.. a tiny taste of peace and I'm kind of pissed this is happening near me again.

[it stops]
I know how to fight; I don't know how to stop the fighting.
no subject
Trust me I get it.
I don’t know anything other than war at this point and any taste of peace was probably too small to even count.
