So all this tension between Wyver and Olympia and stuff has me wondering...

Does this remind anyone else of before a war broke out in their homes? Granted I was like.. a little, little kid when mine first started but I remembered this kinda junk going on.

Earthers vs. spacers even out in the streets, that kinda thing.

People acting like they're better than other people because some politician says so, or, you know, some legacy story that makes one 'better' but, you know, when a place is destroyed because some politician wants money or whatever everyone starts looking a lot alike, right?

Also curious if anyone's planning on joining up with one side or the other and why, if you are..

No ulterior motives and definitely not taking names for a roster for someone or anything, just curious on why a refugee would feel so connected to a place already or something like that.

Peace... This is a close as I've ever come to knowing peace. A quiet fate was never in my stars, I suppose.

I would say that it makes sense then, this brief respite, but I know it has nothing to do with me. It simply feels like more of the same, you know?

...Is there a word for that sense of somewhat-pleasant resignation you get when something finally goes wrong?

It could be worse. I am still alive! [Maker help you, Duo, this one seems to be an optimist.]

If it happens, and I'm not saying it won't, this will be the sixth war in my lifetime.

True, but we left a lot of those behind in the Storm. Some still linger. I've been through a few.

As of this past Satinalia, I am 36 years old. That was around two months before we came, back in...July, is it? So, add around six months to that.

They say elves were once ageless and immortal, and we could wield magic like breathing, but that was many ages past.

I was born in the midst of a war for succession and was largely uninvolved with the last two. The last two and the two before that were concurrent, about ten years apart now.

And as the problems between Wyver and Olympia have yet to come to a head, I don't think that one should count.

I also traveled the continent quite extensively. That would skew anyone's count, I'm sure.

I am. There are a few of us here. Three from Thedas, including myself, and a handful of others from other worlds.

I suppose it rather has gotten a bit more excitable of late. In the midst of it, you don't notice it as much.

In that case, you should get a proper introduction! I am Zevran, formerly of House Arainai of the Antivan Crows, and ex-assassin. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.

It was interesting, yes, and exciting. I'm afraid I cannot recommend the career, however. The retirement plan is murder.

By "attempt" should I assume that it was not a successful rebellion?
