So all this tension between Wyver and Olympia and stuff has me wondering...
Does this remind anyone else of before a war broke out in their homes? Granted I was like.. a little, little kid when mine first started but I remembered this kinda junk going on.
Earthers vs. spacers even out in the streets, that kinda thing.
People acting like they're better than other people because some politician says so, or, you know, some legacy story that makes one 'better' but, you know, when a place is destroyed because some politician wants money or whatever everyone starts looking a lot alike, right?
Also curious if anyone's planning on joining up with one side or the other and why, if you are..
No ulterior motives and definitely not taking names for a roster for someone or anything, just curious on why a refugee would feel so connected to a place already or something like that.

Those space ships are hunks of junk, man, and not much else.
But if it's fighting in those dumb things or being left planet side to duck and cover? I guess I'm flying.

it was a great bonding activity!
no subject
no.
Tandem flying is absolute bullshit, and I want my mobile suit back.

[ look. the ones he's used to are a LOT smaller, ok? ]
no subject
Yes they work in space.
And well at that.
[ Just wait until he gets his gundam back, Garrus. Just wait. ]

isn't that really impractical
like... i'm sure it looks badass and everything
but one-on-one with a dreadnaught? i'm still gonna put my money on the dreadnaught.
[ but ok. it sounds pretty cool. ]

Did the ones you used have cloaking and beam weaponry?
With the weightlessness of space you’d be surprised what those big lugs can do.

and shielding with mass effect fields
also most piloted mechs we had were used for exploration and mining instead of fighting
how big are we talking here?
no subject
Last I heard a measurement of Deathscythe he was 53' tall. 16.3 meters if that's a better measurement system for you. Like 7 tons in weight?
no subject
you're screwing with me, aren't you?
[ that sounds really cool but
too badass to be true. come on. ]
no subject
For once, no.
I'll show you if the Natha ever bring him here.
no subject
also, did you name it? him?
because deathscythe is an awesome name
no subject
Yeah, sure.
And no, Deathscythe was my old buddy's name when I got him. When he got upgrades, it was Deathscythe Hell Custom.
If it sounds cool just wait til you see him.
no subject
they gave me back my sniper rifle last month. but i guess that's a pretty big request...
[ seriously... even if the whole building of it sounded so impractical, it would be pretty cool to see in action. ]
no subject
Not yet. Kinda biding my time.
Making sure this is the kinda place I'd trust with him, to be honest.
no subject
a giant robot would be one way to stop the whole olympia-wyver thing.
no subject
I mean. Possibly?
But the thing is I don't even know what kinda leash the Natha will put on it even if they do bring Deathscythe here.
no subject
because it would be a pretty impressive way to stop one, if you ask me.
i don't even think the olympians and wyvers have nuclear tech.
no subject
They seem pretty neutral but who knows what they want deep down.
They don’t from what I can see but that ain’t so bad for em. Once people start automating it’s a lot easier to get your panties in a twist and call war.
Hopefully they’re not in to mobile dolls like my world was for a while.

Mine doesn't have the fire power for that. The guy that might is asleep, so.
no subject
giant robots seem like one hell of a deterrence.
[ though el nysa really doesn't need to enter the atomic age... ]
no subject
Fair point. Especially now that their dragons aren't as big as they used to be, right?
no subject
though, given those guys over at the institute, i wouldn't be surprised if something like trying to bring them back from the dead was going on.
