GREETINGS. I AM STANNIS BARATHEON, ONCE RIGHTFUL KING OF WESTEROS, AND LORD OF DRAGONSTONE AND STORM'S END, THOUGH OLD TITLES MATTER LITTLE HERE.
I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS FOR ALL "REFUGEES".
[ is he using capslock because he believes that is the proper way to type? because he accidentally got his phone stuck on it? because he just wants to? the true reason will likely be lost to time, and none will ever know. ]
HAVE ANY OF YOU EXPERIENCED AN ODD OCCURRENCE WHERE YOU MEET SOMEONE THAT YOU ARE ACQUAINTED WITH, AND THEY RECALL EVENTS FAR DIFFERENTLY THAN YOU? NOT MERELY A LAPSE IN THEIR MEMORY, BUT ENTIRELY DIFFERENT EVENTS, SUCH AS A MAN STILL BEING ALIVE WHEN YOU KNOW HIM TO BE DEAD, OR HEARING THAT YOU MARCHED YOUR WIFE AND CHILD INTO BATTLE WHEN YOU KNOW THAT WOULD BE UTTER FOLLY AND RECALL LEAVING THEM SAFELY UNDER GUARD?
[ he still cannot believe that anyone would do that, least of all a man who seems to share his name, personality, and so many of his memories, yet is very much not him. ]
I WOULD KNOW IF THERE ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR THINGS WITH THOSE THEY KNOW. AS THOUGH THERE WERE TWO VERSIONS OF YOUR WORLD. ONE THAT SOME OF YOU RECALL, AND ONE THAT OTHERS DO.
AND EVEN IF YOU DO NOT, I WOULD ALSO HEAR OF WHAT YOU KNOW OF DRAGONS FROM YOUR OWN WORLD. AS A MEMBER OF THE SIMWE INSTITUTE, ONE OF MY TASKS IS TO STUDYING THEM, AND I WOULD HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.
YOU HAVE MY THANKS, AND DO NOT WASTE MY TIME.

Are you brother to Jon Snow?
voice;
[ as to that other question... ]
I am nearly old enough to be the boy's father. He is one of the reasons that I ask the question in the first place. I know him well, and trust him, yet he recalls a far different version of events than I. [ and the last he saw of him, he was Lord Commander, not a king. ] I have also spoken to others, and at least three more recall the same version of events as I, while others recall Jon Snow's.

You sound half mad. Has your Targaryen ancestry caught up to you?
[ Yes, pot meet kettle, this post speaks volumes, but Theon doesn't trust Stannis as far as he can throw him, so he'll stick to taunting him rather than sharing his own information. To him, Ramsay's explanation sadly still makes the most sense. ]
text;
[ he is not overly fond of speaking to Theon, particularly when he offers no counter explanations and instead buries his head deeper and deeper, stubborn to the end.
now who's the pot.]TELL ME, TURNCLOAK. IS IT ANY MORE MAD THAN ALL OF WESTEROS BEING DESTROYED BY A "STORM", AND WAKING UP AMONG THE STARS? IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS EXPLANATION IS SENSIBLE AND SIMPLE ENOUGH.

AND JON SNOW SAID THAT I LED MY LADY WIFE AND DAUGHTER INTO BATTLE WITH ME, WHEN YOU AND I BOTH KNOW THAT NO MAN WOULD EVER BE SO FOOLISH.

T-the dragons I know of are magical and god-like. They can only be summoned by gathering seven magic orbs called dragon balls, but if you manage it, they'll grant you a wish. They can even return dead people back to life. After they grant the wish, the balls get scattered all across the world again.
voice;
A shame that we did not have such items, in mine own realm.
[ he'd have wished for his lord father to come back to life and spare them all from this... ]
Our dragons were similar to the ones that I have seen here, though I only know of them from books. They perished years ago.

But I suppose when a child's story is more believable than any other explanation, we must believe in it, Lord Stannis. I remember the events that you say you do not, and yet I know you to be a man of honor, like my Lord Father was, and do not doubt that you speak the truth. So if I do not lie, and you do not lie, then we are faced with two truths that are different.
no subject
[ Westeros truly was a miserable place. and Stannis was as blunt as ever. ]
YOU MUST BE LADY SANSA. YOUR BROTHER SPOKE HIGHLY OF YOU, AND IN FACT, IT WAS HE WHO LED ME TO YOUR SAME CONCLUSION AS WELL. KNOW THAT WHILE I WAS NEVER FRIENDS WITH YOUR LORD FATHER, I WILL BE THERE, SHOULD HIS CHILDREN REQUIRE IT.

The phenomenon you speak of has a very simple explanation, actually! Though I've yet to meet anyone who recalls the events of our world in such a different way, I have met those who remember the Storm occurring at vastly different points in time. If one is to believe the Natha's words, supposedly it's the result of being from two slightly different, but otherwise identical, realities.
Such things are possible, after all.
no subject
...CAPSLOCK conveys clear emotion. ]
I HAVE HEARD OF THAT AS WELL. THEN YOU MEAN TO SAY THAT SUCH CHANGES ARE NOT A RESULT OF LAPSES IN PEOPLE'S MEMORIES, BUT THE SAME IDEA AT WORK?
[ then somewhere out there, there might very well be a version of him who never became king.
what a lucky Stannis that one was.](no subject)

That may be a question better posed to the Natha than us. I can only guess that there may be worlds out there that are nearly identical and only differ in small ways.
But I can tell you of dragons.
no subject
IT SEEMED LIKE A SMALL MATTER TO TROUBLE THEM WITH, BUT PERHAPS I MAY ASK, SHOULD I FIND NO SATISFACTORY ANSWER.
[ and then maybe the turncloak might actually believe him. ]
AND I WOULD HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY OF THEM.

This is Queen Margaery, in case the username does not spark any recognition in you. I do remember hearing of your foolish actions regarding your wife and child, and other such acts with them - a variety that failed to paint a pleasant picture of you. Especially with witnessing the aftermath of one with my first husband.
The worlds are strange, from what I have heard. People from all different kinds. Perhaps this is one of those instances. Different choices, different worlds, different memories.

[ and even if he hadn't seen his brother try to throw her at Robert, he'd have remembered Renly's taunts to him about how he'd soon have sons, while all Stannis would ever have would be Shireen.
and speaking of Renly. ]
I HAVE HEARD ALSO DISCOMFORTING THINGS FROM YOUR BROTHER ABOUT WHAT CAME TO PASS AT YOUR VERSION OF THE PARLAY. REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU MAY THINK, I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY YOUNGER BROTHER'S DEATH, AND MOURNED HIM IN TURN.

WHAT OTHER ACTS HAVE YOU HEARD?

REGARDLESS, THERE IS NO FUTURE IN OUR ORIGINAL REALMS FOR ANY OF US.

As for dragons, where I am from, except for three exceptions, dragons don't exist. They live only in the stories and in the hearts of heroes. But there are two brothers that can summon some sort of spirit dragon. I have seen the one, but an led to understand that the other brother can do the same. But dragons, as they exist here, are purely fantasy.

[ he does not claim the title anymore. but he would still remind everyone that if there were still a realm, he would be the rightful king of it. ]
AS I SAID, IT WAS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT. IT IS NOT ONLY THAT I HAVE NO MEMORIES OF SUCH OCCURRING, BUT EVENTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. ONE THAT I KNOW HAD AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT NAME, WHILE ANOTHER WAS A SINGLE SON, RATHER THAN THE YOUNGEST OF THREE BROTHERS.
WHAT EXACTLY IS A "SPIRIT" DRAGON?
