I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS FOR ALL "REFUGEES".

[ is he using capslock because he believes that is the proper way to type? because he accidentally got his phone stuck on it? because he just wants to? the true reason will likely be lost to time, and none will ever know. ]

HAVE ANY OF YOU EXPERIENCED AN ODD OCCURRENCE WHERE YOU MEET SOMEONE THAT YOU ARE ACQUAINTED WITH, AND THEY RECALL EVENTS FAR DIFFERENTLY THAN YOU? NOT MERELY A LAPSE IN THEIR MEMORY, BUT ENTIRELY DIFFERENT EVENTS, SUCH AS A MAN STILL BEING ALIVE WHEN YOU KNOW HIM TO BE DEAD, OR HEARING THAT YOU MARCHED YOUR WIFE AND CHILD INTO BATTLE WHEN YOU KNOW THAT WOULD BE UTTER FOLLY AND RECALL LEAVING THEM SAFELY UNDER GUARD?

[ he still cannot believe that anyone would do that, least of all a man who seems to share his name, personality, and so many of his memories, yet is very much not him. ]

I WOULD KNOW IF THERE ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR THINGS WITH THOSE THEY KNOW. AS THOUGH THERE WERE TWO VERSIONS OF YOUR WORLD. ONE THAT SOME OF YOU RECALL, AND ONE THAT OTHERS DO.

AND EVEN IF YOU DO NOT, I WOULD ALSO HEAR OF WHAT YOU KNOW OF DRAGONS FROM YOUR OWN WORLD. AS A MEMBER OF THE SIMWE INSTITUTE, ONE OF MY TASKS IS TO STUDYING THEM, AND I WOULD HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.

[Wow, that's some very intense text. Kale chooses voice and hopes the man's voice won't boom too loudly through her phone.]

T-the dragons I know of are magical and god-like. They can only be summoned by gathering seven magic orbs called dragon balls, but if you manage it, they'll grant you a wish. They can even return dead people back to life. After they grant the wish, the balls get scattered all across the world again.

[ he replies in turn, and while his voice is a louder one, it is still ]

A shame that we did not have such items, in mine own realm.

[ he'd have wished for his lord father to come back to life and spare them all from this... ]

Our dragons were similar to the ones that I have seen here, though I only know of them from books. They perished years ago.

The most powerful set was being offered as the prize for the winner of a tournament I was fighting in, but the storm came before the end of the tournament.

[She's sort of glad about that, considering the other stakes in the tournament.]

Did you get to see any up close here?

You are a fighter?

[ this comes as something as a shock to him, though it really shouldn't now. women here were often just as formidable as men. ]

I did, a number of times. I had hoped that my ancestry might have made them more amenable to me, but I believe that was not the case.

[ is he going to explain that? perhaps, in time. ]

Yes. My people are warriors who fight to protect others and help to keep peace.

[It's okay, Stannis. It still comes as a shock to her that she was picked for the tournament, but that has nothing to do with being a woman and everything to do with her own self esteem issues.]

Oh...your ancestors had some connection to dragons? I suppose that's why you're so interested in them.

Truly? That is a noble cause, and where I come from, a rare thing.

[ Westeros could have used such heroes. but unfortunately, they only seemed to exist in tales. ]

Aye. My father's mother came from a line of dragon lords and kings, though the dragons had out long before her birth.

Saiyans get stronger when they have someone or something they want to protect, and when they're fighting challenging opponents. That's just been our way...but the Saiyans from the other universe used to use their strength to conquer instead.

[She pauses, taking a moment to explain.]

Um...it's not like the situation you described, where there's a different version of you. It's more like our universes are twins.

[And their universes' gods of destruction actually are twins. At first when Stannis says dragon lords and kings, she's imagining dragons who can take smaller humanoid forms, but his later words make her realize the dragons were more like the ones here in Wyvern.]

Did that guy try to convince you to help get dragons into their pens, too?

[She asks tentatively, because she's not sure if the guy was only asking her and Misa because they were young women, or if he was telling the same tale to any refugees.]

[ well... this was certainly something that he had not heard of before. but still... ]

The information is still useful. Knowing that there are alternate universes with some similarities has only proven to strengthen my theory. Be that as it may, some people still won't see what is right in front of them.

[ and when he speaks next, his tone is a little frustrated. ]

He did. I suspect that he found the whole issue amusing.

The idea of different universes is a little difficult to get used to. I only knew about twelve universes in total. I had no idea there were this many others.

[Which makes the reach of the Storm truly frightening indeed. It makes her wonder what's so special about El Nysa that the storm hasn't touched it. Perhaps it's something about the magic?]

It was a bit embarrassing, but at least my friend and I got paid for our work. Did you find any dragons while you were out there?

Indeed it would seem that way. I suppose it only makes sense that there would be some that are nearly identical to one another, only with small differences. Still, I have yet to see the other version of myself aboard the station.

I did, though when the creature is chasing you, it offers little time for any meaningful study. Although, I did not partake in the man's idiotic notions.

[She's glad she's encountered no other version of herself. Meeting saiyans from another universe was interesting. Meeting another version of herself would be bizarre.

She offers a small smile.]

I'm glad you got to see one, at least.

[And she's also glad that the guy wasn't only targeting young women. she feels a little less weird about the whole thing now that she knows older gentlemen were also approached with the same odd suggestion for luring in dragons.]

[ he feels like half a fool now. talking about dragons like some awestruck young boy... ]

[Kale isn't any more or less awkward based on a person's age or if they're male or female. For her, it's all about the person's temperament and how they treat her.]

So...um. How many people have been telling you about another reality?

[She's curious, and it seems to be something he can speak more comfortably about. Or at least be opinionated enough about to not feel so awkward.]

For a time, I was worried that it would be a unique occurrence. But the proof that I have gathered has only served to confirm my theory.

It's kind of shocking at first. I only found out about the other universes when I got picked for the tournament. It sounds like the talk of a mad person until you see the proof for yourself.

Being here in the first place should be proof enough. And yet... it still is not for some.
