HAVE ANY OF YOU EXPERIENCED AN ODD OCCURRENCE WHERE YOU MEET SOMEONE THAT YOU ARE ACQUAINTED WITH, AND THEY RECALL EVENTS FAR DIFFERENTLY THAN YOU? NOT MERELY A LAPSE IN THEIR MEMORY, BUT ENTIRELY DIFFERENT EVENTS, SUCH AS A MAN STILL BEING ALIVE WHEN YOU KNOW HIM TO BE DEAD, OR HEARING THAT YOU MARCHED YOUR WIFE AND CHILD INTO BATTLE WHEN YOU KNOW THAT WOULD BE UTTER FOLLY AND RECALL LEAVING THEM SAFELY UNDER GUARD?

I WOULD KNOW IF THERE ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR THINGS WITH THOSE THEY KNOW. AS THOUGH THERE WERE TWO VERSIONS OF YOUR WORLD. ONE THAT SOME OF YOU RECALL, AND ONE THAT OTHERS DO.

AND EVEN IF YOU DO NOT, I WOULD ALSO HEAR OF WHAT YOU KNOW OF DRAGONS FROM YOUR OWN WORLD. AS A MEMBER OF THE SIMWE INSTITUTE, ONE OF MY TASKS IS TO STUDYING THEM, AND I WOULD HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.

[ one could make an argument for those that fought for Joffrey and Tommen, who were believed to be Robert's trueborn heirs. similar claims might be made for the Greyjoys and Robb Stark. but there was nothing that justified Renly's claim, and no matter the perspective, he was a traitor.

LORAS TYRELL, I DO HOPE THAT YOU EVENTUALLY LEARN THE MEANING OF "TREASON" BEFORE YOU DECIDE THAT YOU WOULD PREFER ANOTHER TO SIT THE THRONE OF OLYMPIA OR WYVER SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU FIND THEM MORE AGREEABLE.

[ you cannot just decide someone is a king because you like them more. if that were the case, then Aegon the Unworthy would have never taken the throne. ]

[ After all, it had been a happy chance that Loras happened to love Renly as he does - and likely that was much to do with their reasoning in choosing Renly as a would be king. Not only would he be well liked, but the Tyrells would have no problems in ruling from beside the throne. As much as Loras is loathe to admit it, the youngest Baratheon was an ideal pawn in a greater plan. ]

[ Stannis had never wished to be king. if he had desired anything, it had only been Storm's End. perhaps Robert to acknowledge him. most would say it would have been in his best interests to support Renly for the throne.
