Sooo... [ There's a bit of an awkward silence before Lena lets out a small cough. ]
It's been a year and we aren't dead yet! Most of us aren't ... some of us haven't gone through death here ... the world below us is sort of crashing and burning a bit ... but, we're all still here and alive! I like to think that's an improvement.
[ Is it an improvement from her previous life? No, not really. But, Lena does want to try cheer people up and brighten up the mood, even if she started off a little shaky because it's not like she does this often. ]
If you've been here the entire time, or just for a few months, I'd love to hear about what you've come to enjoy about this place. [ Because everyone has had to have lived differently here and gone through different experiences, and by getting people to talk about what they've enjoyed and learned to move is a great way to lighten everyone's spirits.
Right?
She hopes so. Besides, this gives her the chance to meet new people too. ]

I'm really glad to hear that. Nobody should miss out on the wonders of the Earth, not that this is Earth, but it's a lot like it in many ways. I'm curious, what is Mars like?
no subject
Of course, Mars as a planet is beautiful in its own way. The soil is red due to the abundance of iron oxide in the soil, and there are many craters and mountains present. The sky changes colors like it does on Earth, but it is very different. During the daytime, it is a yellowish hue. I often wondered what it would be like to view my planet from the Earth's surface. When I got the chance, it looked like a bright orange speck! Have you ever wondered what Earth looks like from as far away as Mars?

I guess one of the first ones I helped with. He was kind of a biter but he made me think a lot about my baby brother at home.
[... Is it odd to compare a baby dragon to a toddler? Maybe.]

Anyway... this place allows people to possibly interact with those they might not otherwise have the opportunity to.

Do you mean like how we are from different worlds, or from different countries? Or something like seeing someone from the future or past, because that has happened to me.

It's something that gives me hope for our future, I think.

If we can get through this then we can get through anything! I mean, when we first landed, we all worked hard together to help everyone that got hurt and to find Olympia.
I really enjoyed seeing that sight because it just makes you feel warm and good inside.

[That's both hard to believe and anything but; it makes him both happy and kind of sad. A year is a short time to everything refugees have accomplished, he thinks. And yet it's also a year without the majority of his friends from home.]
If I had to say what I enjoy about this place, it's probably the opportunities we've been given. That, and the people I've met, of course.
Well, I really like the nature here, too.

[ Time really does fly, and it isn’t just for her. The past year has certainly been an interesting one for all that are involved with this world. ]
That’s good! I do agree about the nature, it’s very pretty here and some of the sights are just breathtaking.
