Sooo... [ There's a bit of an awkward silence before Lena lets out a small cough. ]

It's been a year and we aren't dead yet! Most of us aren't ... some of us haven't gone through death here ... the world below us is sort of crashing and burning a bit ... but, we're all still here and alive! I like to think that's an improvement.

[ Is it an improvement from her previous life? No, not really. But, Lena does want to try cheer people up and brighten up the mood, even if she started off a little shaky because it's not like she does this often. ]

If you've been here the entire time, or just for a few months, I'd love to hear about what you've come to enjoy about this place. [ Because everyone has had to have lived differently here and gone through different experiences, and by getting people to talk about what they've enjoyed and learned to move is a great way to lighten everyone's spirits.

She hopes so. Besides, this gives her the chance to meet new people too. ]

I mean, there's more than just patrolling when it comes to the Royal Guard. We need people who can help out in a tight spot such as having to direct traffic or patching someone up quickly.

You do all sorts of jobs, then. If I ever decided to join, there must be something I would be capable of.

...Well, that was just a thought, anyway. I already help my friend out at the orphanage, and I was thinking of getting a job there, at least for a while. The kids are very cute, and without parents, I think they're looking for all kinds of attention.

Yeah! Well, I mostly do guard duty and the heavy lifting because I'm good with that sort of stuff. [ She's a strong one. ]

You do have that motherly vibe so working there would be good for you, too, because everyone needs someone to look up to. I've just got the feeling that you would probably be perfect in that type of area.

[She's never been told that before, but the remark doesn't offend, just mildly surprises. Perhaps Lena is right? It's her opinion, after all. She rolls the thought around like a shiny new marble and stows it away.]

Maybe you're right. There is much I have yet to discover about myself, and I do find myself at ease working with the children. You must be strong if you spend most of your time hauling things around and being on guard. Do you get tired?
