Sooo... [ There's a bit of an awkward silence before Lena lets out a small cough. ]

It's been a year and we aren't dead yet! Most of us aren't ... some of us haven't gone through death here ... the world below us is sort of crashing and burning a bit ... but, we're all still here and alive! I like to think that's an improvement.

[ Is it an improvement from her previous life? No, not really. But, Lena does want to try cheer people up and brighten up the mood, even if she started off a little shaky because it's not like she does this often. ]

If you've been here the entire time, or just for a few months, I'd love to hear about what you've come to enjoy about this place. [ Because everyone has had to have lived differently here and gone through different experiences, and by getting people to talk about what they've enjoyed and learned to move is a great way to lighten everyone's spirits.

She hopes so. Besides, this gives her the chance to meet new people too. ]

Sometimes people need that in their life. Besides, you don’t get very far being grumpy all the time. I like being positive!

Do you mean like how we are from different worlds, or from different countries? Or something like seeing someone from the future or past, because that has happened to me.

Yeah, something like all of that. You can have opportunities that otherwise wouldn't be possible.

It is pretty neat, I can admit to that! The thought is a little scary too because what if you meet yourself from another universe or... your great-grandparents or children.

If you're motivated and grumpy, you can bitch your way into getting your way all the time.

I feel like meeting yourself would just result in your brain imploding as your conscious idea of self-identity comes apart. Though, I bet with all the time paradox, something crazy like siring yourself would be possible... except I think we're all sterile so nevermind.

I guess that is a good point. People would get fed up and just let them have their way.

I ... would rather meet myself then sire myself because that would certainly be a real mind fuck. Kinda sucks that we're all sterile, and I hope it isn't for good because how are we supposed to have the next generation?

It's easier than putting up with their grumpy aggression. So that's just encouraging the behavior.

Why let us breed when they can just bring in new people from newly dead worlds to replace us? We are expendable as long as there are others to fill the shoes we've taken up.

And it becomes an endless cycle. Ugh.

That's a really dark way to look at it. You can't just... save people and then not let them live their lives how they want to. It just isn't fair to do that.

I hate to break it to you, but life's not fair. Our worlds were swallowed up and we barely made it out. How is that fair? We're here for a purpose, but we just haven't been told what that is (I'm a glass half-full kind of person too, believe it or not).

I know it isn't fair... [ she's suffered a lot of the unfairness. but, she just wants to hope for the best in the world. ] I guess I just want to hope for a positive ending to our story, that's all.

The end of our story results in our dying, as it does for everyone. So if you're happy to die at some point, you'll get your wish!

I'm not sure if I can happy to die because I do enjoy living and making friends with others.

Not sure if I want to live forever. ... Can I live for a long time and then die happy with friends?

We don't always get what we wish for, but there's no point not trying, right?

Nawh, you can't just say you want to go out like that and be all 'I'm just following orders' or something close to that.

As a hero? Definitely not. My hands are too dirty, regardless of my attempt to do right by general audiences. Someone has to have their hands in the mud to make something better, but... very few people appreciate those kinds of sacrifices.

Yeah, someone has to do it. Bad people need to see bad consequences, and I know that doing bad things to bad people put me in the same boat. I'll take me knocks when they come. I know why I deserve them.
