[ After the murmurs of job opportunities began to mix through the idle chit chat of the refugees, Ann wanted to get a few questions out to the people who may or may not have already started work. ]
Soooo... this whole jobs thing...
It's not as easy as it seems, right? I know we're suppose to work our asses off to make sure they keep the people in Thesa safe, but β has anyone had experience working with something like... that? Guards, scholars, and uh... adult workers.... It all sounds like some weird characters from a fantasy novel or something. Cliche, but given the past few weeks? Totally legit.
I guess I'm wanting to ask: how are you knowing you're a good "fit" for one of these jobs? Back home, I was...
[ She wants to say model, but she doesn't really give the deets too much. ]
Let's just say the closest I got to any of these kind of jobs were reading Shakespeare in school.
If you know of any normal jobs or have any pointers on talking with the recruiters, let me know!!! My skills include fashion, picking good places to eat, and persevering through unlikely circumstances! o(^β½^)o

[Anyway.]
What specifically do you mean when you say "fashion" is your skill? The wearing of, the making, the selling?
totally fine!!
Anyways.
Uh... wearing...it? I can put outfits together, but I never got the chance to professionally sew or something. Not a tailor more... uh... model...?
[ She super doesn't sound... confident. Even through text. ]
i love you (platonically)
Ah, I see. There may be room for that sort of work, depending on the shop. Just be careful where you ask: the closer you get to Koralle's, the more likely people are to take you for the other kind of "model."

NO WAY. NEVER! I'm staying as far away as I can from that part of town AND from anyone offering modeling gigs like that. It's enough of a headache trying to blend in... ugh!!!!!

And I don't know. The pay is not bad and you meet a great many interesting people who just love to talk about themselves. Though I confess I'd never heard the job referred to with such delicacy until I arrived here. But yes, since you would prefer not to go into the field, let's see. The wearing of fine clothing and [scrolling up] selecting restaurants. Sounds like society is the best fit. Have you considered courtier? A lady's maid, perhaps?

uh
fought them?
There's no way they could be here, right??
[ DON'T, SHE'S SCARED AS HELL ALREADY ABOUT THESE WEIRD ASS ANIMALS. The thought of dragons flying around is scary. ]
A maid... [ See, she's thinking pure here. There's some jobs she's seen posted that intertwine sex and housework, but...] That may work!!

Mind you, a lady's maid often starts very young, and frequently she serves her mistress for several years at a distance before she's allowed to dress or accompany her mistress as a chaperone.
At least, that was true in Thedas. I'm not as familiar with the social customs of the nobles in this area.
How old are you, anyway?

I mean, a maid is kinda safe. It's hard work doing the domestic stuff, but you're kinda privileged where you get to be
in nicer areas too as part of work.
Umm...16..?

Only sixteen? That's a bit old for an apprenticeship back home, but here I think you would still be welcomed. I've seen all sorts, and you're still plenty young enough to start one. We have time enough, here.
