[ After the murmurs of job opportunities began to mix through the idle chit chat of the refugees, Ann wanted to get a few questions out to the people who may or may not have already started work. ]

Soooo... this whole jobs thing...
It's not as easy as it seems, right? I know we're suppose to work our asses off to make sure they keep the people in Thesa safe, but β€” has anyone had experience working with something like... that? Guards, scholars, and uh... adult workers.... It all sounds like some weird characters from a fantasy novel or something. Cliche, but given the past few weeks? Totally legit.

I guess I'm wanting to ask: how are you knowing you're a good "fit" for one of these jobs? Back home, I was...

[ She wants to say model, but she doesn't really give the deets too much. ]

Let's just say the closest I got to any of these kind of jobs were reading Shakespeare in school.

If you know of any normal jobs or have any pointers on talking with the recruiters, let me know!!! My skills include fashion, picking good places to eat, and persevering through unlikely circumstances! o(^β–½^)o

i love you (platonically)

I'm rather thrilled at the lack of dragons! Although, there are skeletons in the swamp if you ever wanted to see one. Those are the best kinds of dragons to see. I'm more fond of what people seem to call the "modern" conveniences of this place.

Ah, I see. There may be room for that sort of work, depending on the shop. Just be careful where you ask: the closer you get to Koralle's, the more likely people are to take you for the other kind of "model."

Oh, they're QUITE exciting when they're alive! And quite relieving when they are not.

And I don't know. The pay is not bad and you meet a great many interesting people who just love to talk about themselves. Though I confess I'd never heard the job referred to with such delicacy until I arrived here. But yes, since you would prefer not to go into the field, let's see. The wearing of fine clothing and
[scrolling up] selecting restaurants. Sounds like society is the best fit. Have you considered courtier? A lady's maid, perhaps?

Only the once. Not an experience I would care to repeat. I'm not getting any younger, you know? The bones in the swamp would suggest that they were here at one time. Whether or not they still are, I have no idea. Have you been to the Wyvernest yet?

Mind you, a lady's maid often starts very young, and frequently she serves her mistress for several years at a distance before she's allowed to dress or accompany her mistress as a chaperone.

At least, that was true in Thedas. I'm not as familiar with the social customs of the nobles in this area.

How old are you, anyway?
agradecido: (I just woke up in my underwear)

The Wyvernest is a little cafe here in the market district, full of little dioramas of dragons and such. I hear they have live animals as well, if very small. Cat-sized, if you have cats where you are from.

Only sixteen? That's a bit old for an apprenticeship back home, but here I think you would still be welcomed. I've seen all sorts, and you're still plenty young enough to start one. We have time enough, here.
