Soooo... this whole jobs thing...
It's not as easy as it seems, right? I know we're suppose to work our asses off to make sure they keep the people in Thesa safe, but — has anyone had experience working with something like... that? Guards, scholars, and uh... adult workers.... It all sounds like some weird characters from a fantasy novel or something. Cliche, but given the past few weeks? Totally legit.

I guess I'm wanting to ask: how are you knowing you're a good "fit" for one of these jobs? Back home, I was...

[ She wants to say model, but she doesn't really give the deets too much. ]

Let's just say the closest I got to any of these kind of jobs were reading Shakespeare in school.

I worry because I'm focused on not majorly screwing things up. Part of my whole initiative is about keeping someone safe. I just don't want to risk anything going wrong.

It's not even about the fighting and guard stuff! The jobs I was good at back home aren't even an option here. So, I'm kind of stuck.

It's not that big a deal though? I've had to do that tons of times. You just have to keep your chin up, have a little confidence in yourself! Like right now we know pretty much nothing about this place and what's going on. So you should start with that and work your way up: learn what you can and use that to turn yourself into something marketable.

Well that depends! Do you want to be a freelancer? You could work at a bakery, be a courier, mind a stall or shop. There's a ton of jobs out there so just think about the one you want and what you'd need to get it.

I was thinking about something with the marketplace in the city — it would give me some extra cover and allow me to get to know people.

Well I work in the market district right now with a few traders? There's this amazing baker there and oh my god like. Seriously you should try the stuff he makes? It is literally to die for no joke. I go there every day.

Proooobably should stop doing that come to think of it. But you could always get a job like that.

You literally can't miss it: cinnamon bun plaque above the door in the east market. I recommend the cookies with the strawberry icing, they are amazing.

That's the most depressing thing anyone has ever said to me.

It's a city. Like a huge one. I forgot the whole 'other worlds' thing. In one Tokyo, there are dozens of malls. And food stops. And buffets! :)

Ohh okay, I get you. Wish this place had something like that. The rustic alchemy feeling is nice but I miss air conditioning and vending machines.

The potions and spells part is kind of cool though. Back home you only found that kind of stuff in board games and fantasy novels.

IDK... It's charming at first but then you realize how frickin' weird it is because it sounds like it's from a fantasy book.

This kinda stuff is so unheard of where I'm from. To think this is "normal" just blows my mind. :/
