(text) un: j.watson,

Hello. John Watson here.

I've met some of you already but for the rest I'd like to introduce myself as a doctor. I'm from Earth, 2012, I'm a fully qualified surgeon as of that year and familiar with medicine from that time period. If you'd rather not go to Lysa, please get in contact if you ever need medical attention. For the time being I'll be treating anyone for serious problems at the Station, but in the event of an emergency or something minor I can come to you.

Those of you I treated the other night, if you could check in that would be great.

Thanks. Hope we're all doing alright after that nightmare.

I'd also be interested to talk to anyone with medical experience about their thoughts on Lysa's methods from what they've seen so far. Cheers.

Such magic only brings ruin. To trust it blindly would do the same.

I've met another healer in the field who uses more practical methods.

I approve.

Please to meet you, Mr. Watson.

Lysa's methods work for what these people know, even if the side effects leave much to be desired. Can we really be so disapproving when she's using what she can and what she's learned to, hopefully, the best of her ability? At least, I would like to think she is. I'm sure she would be happy to learn of better methods should we gain her trust and her ear.

Where I am from, we usually use potions and elixirs similar to that as well.

I am also capable of healing through magic, though my ways are painless and without side-effect.

I think there is much we could all learn from each other. At least, that is my hope.

This is Venom, from the festivities. I just wanted to thank you for making it more bearable. I will keep you in mind when I need medical attention.

Unfortunately, I've not seen much in regards to Lysa's medicine, other than some minor side effects. Their magic is rather competent, otherwise.

I can understand that. I'm sorry, I might have come across a little defensive without meaning to. I suppose Darma and them feel they can't directly interfere? Perhaps that's part of the reason they're using us as well.

I'd love to learn more. I know about potions and elixirs, but it's hardly useful here when the plants are completely different. I also know about other types of basic first aid, but if there's ever an instance where my magic fails me, it'd be useful to know more. I don't think one can ever learn too much when it comes to healing others.

I'm only sorry my healing cannot be so easily taught. Or taught at all.

If you need a hand treating people, I'd be glad to assist.

[AKA give me things to do so I don't focus on the madness of this situation.]

I am. I use a type that I developed and honed over several years. The magic here is different compared to my world's, so I wouldn't mind learning more about it.

I'm a few decades behind, but I'm hoping you'll be kind enough to get me up to speed if I'm doing anything archaic. Assuming, of course, that you don't mind teaching.

What kind of medicine did you practise in 2012, Dr Watson?

( It would be nice if it weren't another version of magic that's Apparently Real, or actual homeopathy )

Too bad we didn't know about you sooner. Her medical help was like something you'd find out of a back alley doctor. I'm pretty sure we all unwittingly walked into a really creepy medical experiment.

Also, I can't believe no one's pointed this out yet but your family must've been really big Doyle fans.

2012? Holy mackerel, that's a long walk in the woods from when I'm from. Okay, okay. I have to know. We like to play this little game called Guess The Future and I like to think I'm pretty sharp at it. So, try this out, let me know if this ends up being a thing.

Castles, but with wheels and, I know you're probably used to this already but bear with me, long-lasting waterproof peasants.

Then I would be glad to show you and do my best to explain.

Oh, although, that would require someone being injured, and I wouldn't want to wish for that...

But it's a little strange to hear that magic doesn't exist where you're from. I suppose your planet was more reliant on technology?
