(text) un: j.watson,

Hello. John Watson here.

I've met some of you already but for the rest I'd like to introduce myself as a doctor. I'm from Earth, 2012, I'm a fully qualified surgeon as of that year and familiar with medicine from that time period. If you'd rather not go to Lysa, please get in contact if you ever need medical attention. For the time being I'll be treating anyone for serious problems at the Station, but in the event of an emergency or something minor I can come to you.

Those of you I treated the other night, if you could check in that would be great.

Thanks. Hope we're all doing alright after that nightmare.

I'd also be interested to talk to anyone with medical experience about their thoughts on Lysa's methods from what they've seen so far. Cheers.

Too bad we didn't know about you sooner. Her medical help was like something you'd find out of a back alley doctor. I'm pretty sure we all unwittingly walked into a really creepy medical experiment.

Also, I can't believe no one's pointed this out yet but your family must've been really big Doyle fans.

I didn't. My boyfriend did. I don't even WANT to know what would've happened if his injuries were worse. I'm pretty sure medication isn't supposed to make you feel like you're meant to regret it.

[Normally.]

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? [She genuinely just laughed to herself about a doctor named John Watson. It was too funny.] Though, OK, I'll give and agree that your name IS pretty common.

I'll make sure he knows that you exist. That other people LIKE you exist. He looks like he's doing better, but ... just in case.

[Veronica herself would also like a trained professional doing that kind of work.

And for that definition of "trained professional" to be what she knows it to be. A surgeon usually doesn't cover other basics, but ... well.]

It's not the first time that someone hasn't understood what I meant. I guess that comes from the blending of life experiences ... not to mention timelines. Or whatever else there is.

I suppose the good thing is that television made us genre savvy enough to guess what comes next.

Or I hope.

I was wrong about the monster attacks, but I should've known that they would have a knack for dramatic timing.

[Say something won't happen and of course it will. Of course.]

Yes. And don't worry, it's not really invasive unless you ask something more personal. I'm from the year 2017.

Which, let me tell you, is a very odd thing to have to clarify, but I met a guy from 1945 right away. So, I have to get used to it.]

[It can be horrible, but it's good to know that some people come from similar backgrounds. Even if that just means ... nearly the same year.]

Very true. I think 2017 is a little early for that, but maybe in 2050 when they finally invent time travel.

We're up to the 7, which, by the way, comes with its own controversy. Apple decided that the way of the future was to make everyone use bluetooth headphones that wouldn't be connected and could be lost quite easily. It caused quite the stir.

Obviously. Why wouldn't you?

Obviously, this is the point where I make a snide remark about how people make sure that EVERYONE can see and hear what they're watching anyway.

Is that a thing yet for you? I can't really remember what streaming tech was like when I was in elementary school.

I hope this world has some decent music, but I'm afraid that it won't be long before we accidentally introduce that tendency to this society.
