Hello. John Watson here.

I've met some of you already but for the rest I'd like to introduce myself as a doctor. I'm from Earth, 2012, I'm a fully qualified surgeon as of that year and familiar with medicine from that time period. If you'd rather not go to Lysa, please get in contact if you ever need medical attention. For the time being I'll be treating anyone for serious problems at the Station, but in the event of an emergency or something minor I can come to you.

Those of you I treated the other night, if you could check in that would be great.

I'd also be interested to talk to anyone with medical experience about their thoughts on Lysa's methods from what they've seen so far. Cheers.

Shop that sells newspapers, penny sweets and alcohol. Don't worry about it. [ they probably exist here but they're probably not Spar so does it really count? ]

Perfect. Invitation's still open to let me know if it's not doing what it ought to be doing, but with any luck it'll heal well.

now that's a way of resting it i can get behind
first round's definitely on me, we'll see about the second

[ give him a couple of minutes Poe to find something that doesn't look as similarly bizarre to him as everything else... eventually he settles on a large archway reaching between the tall buildings of either side of a busy street that may be close to the market, sends a picture. ]

[ some fifteen minutes later, there's poe, waving when he spots john. he's dressed in a mix of his jumpsuit and the robes, hair tousled as always, and his gait more fluid and easy than days prior. ]

Hey, doc.

[enarms]

[ !! ]

Hi, good to see you.

[ instinct has him offering his hand out to clasp poe's in a shake: it's the first time they've had a chance to meet off the field, as it were, and the greeting feels apt. John's still decked out in the things he'd fallen out of the sky in, looking slightly rough around the edges... next on his to do list is a trip to Thesa to sort that out, but there's always time for alcohol. ]

—Yeah, that's looking better.

[ good job walking Poe, that's a leg with 4* functionality ]

It's feeling better, too.

[ poe gives a grin, running a hand through his hair. ] Thanks to you. [ is that out of five stars? because if it's out of ten, it definitely deserves more stars. ]

[enarms]

[ a small little play-salute, ]

It's almost like I practised.

[ for Many Years in Many Places. an easy smile right back, and John's ever so eager to get to the prescribed purpose of this meeting which just so happens to be - ] Right, are you going to show me to this bar then?

[xwings]

[ it's good when doctors are confident in their own abilities. but poe hasn't forgotten the purpose of this either, and john hasn't even finished speaking when poe's already turning and gesturing in one direction. ]

This way.

[ and off they go. the bar, once they arrive, is a small place, crowded and well-stocked. ]

[enarms]

Oh, nice find.

[ it's a good spot. and yeah, Poe offered first round, but John's the one headed to the bar. ]

What do you fancy?

[xwings]

Right?

[ if poe sounds impossibly pleased, that's probably because he is. he follows john to the bar. ] Just a beer. But I'm paying, remember?

[enarms]

Yeah, yeah. You get the next ones, I'll get these for you making me look good by healing nicely.

[ somebody's super pumped for alcohol and not ready to delay in a minor squabble over who's buying, hence without further delay he darts off to order and will be back after some minor difficulty in actually getting to the bar to get served with two beers. ya sure better have found a place to perch, Poe. ]

That's fair.

[ it's not really; poe should be the one thanking john, and he doubts john needs to prove that he's a competent doctor to anyone here. but he'll take it.

and find a place for them to sit in a corner not too far from the bar. it's not a lot of space, admittedly, but enough. ]
