[ Open question, which he's not going to expand on unless prompted -- though really he's curious about something specific. Do people consider Olympia or Wyver their home now? Maybe the Natha station? Or do they think of home worlds they've been told no longer exist? ]

[ Oh good, radiation. Who doesn't love a good bit of radiation. ]

So I'm guessing you all stayed inside the dome and the irradiated desert bit was outside?

Unless you really like radiation sickness, yeah, most folks only leave the dome when they're heading off planet.

Hyperion's pretty big, so sometimes you don't realize it's under just one massive

bubble.

This is giving me flashbacks to a movie I saw once.

[ Total Recall. He's absolutely thinking about Total Recall. The 90s one. ]

What was it like? Hyperion, in the bubble.

Not bad. Crime rate’s high, keeps me in business. Place is lit up like nothing else all day every day. Street’s aren’t exactly clean and the sewers are crawling with rabbit’s that’ll sell your pancreas for a slice of subpar carrot cake.

Skyline’s nothing to sneeze at.

You were in law enforcement?

not since i've landed here. never had to set up shop after a dragon attack before.

Funnily enough, I'd been talking about helping someone set up a private investigation please in Olympia.

what were you doing before all this happened?

Air Force, technically, but I led a reconnaissance team so it was more a jack-of-all-trades situation.

[stuns]

sounds like quite the resume you've got there.

your friend interested in a partner? i've got a hell of a lot of experience.

and i'm tired of running errands.

I think he might be.

[ He should be, Ianto you need to get out more. ]

So far I'm mostly in charge of the dog.

being in charge of a dog isn't so bad, best friends and all that junk.

It's definitely by choice, she's a good good. Still pretty young but she's learning and she's a smart cookie.

She's pretty strong already.

Seren! I'm told it's Welsh for star.

[ The most pampered diva puppy even has a diva name. ]

[ it's cute..... and it doesn't even have an exoskeleton or stingers or an extra set of jaws or anything...................... ]

earth language, right? i've seen a little bit of it but a lot of it looks like letter soup.

That's the one. Pretty sure I couldn't pronounce most of it but Seren at least is built like a real name.

yeah i was gonna ask if you were absolutely SURE it was welsh to be honest

you speak it???

I don't personally but my roommate does, it was his suggestion and I'm pretty sure he's as Welsh as you can be.
