Alright, new pop quiz. When you think of home, what do you think of?

[ Open question, which he's not going to expand on unless prompted -- though really he's curious about something specific. Do people consider Olympia or Wyver their home now? Maybe the Natha station? Or do they think of home worlds they've been told no longer exist? ]

Sea salt. It's the best kind. Salty, but sweet too.

In general. I used to travel a lot for work, but DC was home.

Not anymore. And when he was, things weren't quite right. He came out of stasis decades younger than the last time I saw him.

What's home for you?

['What' not 'where', necessarily. She's curious how he'll answer his own question.]

Desert.

Mars, to be exact. So it's all desert, or city if you're lucky.

Yeah, they terraformed it hundreds of years ago. Made a big city with a neat dome on top to keep the radiation out

[What a deep and philosophical question good sir.]

I think, home is not so much a 'where' as it is a 'whom'.

[This was also a conversation he had once before, so very many years ago. Perhaps that was why, for once, he had felt compelled to reply.]
