hello everyone ヾ(・ω・o)
my name is ren and i have a couple of questions about house stuff
or finding a place to live in wyver stuff i guess
though if you live somewhere else and want to talk about that then go ahead~
anyway, i was wondering what parts of the city are good for newcomers other than the old city
i know the old city seems to be where it's easiest to get somewhere but it's not really very nice compared to the rest of the city... (T▽T)
and it's been a really long time since i had to find a place to live, and doing it by myself is harder because it means i have to worry about money more... \| ̄ヘ ̄|/
[As someone who's been pretty well off his entire life, the "having to worry about money" angle is probably the newest part of all this to Ren.]
i haven't been here very long so i thought it might be best to get advice from people who've been here longer~
since a lot of you seem to have been here a pretty long time
so i'd really appreciate anyone's help! ҉*\( ‘ω’ )/*҉

[was there another word there, he didn't see it]
i mean there are some people i know who would be fun to live with...
but i think most of them have their own living arrangements ʅฺ(・ω・。)ʃฺ
i don't want to impose
no subject
[He's not even going to dignify that reaction with a real response.]
You're probably best off.
Have you considered living in a ditch somewhere? It feels like an adequate setting and you'd be among those of similar minds. Rents pretty cheap too.
no subject
not when you were so worried about me having a roof over my head a moment ago (✿´ ꒳ ` )
[context, what's that]
no subject
[A perfect setting really.]
If you pull the right strings you may even be able to grab one in the fancy part of town.
no subject
have you been living in one of them, then...?

Considerate it the generosity of a devout man. (◕‿◕✿)
no subject
i think i'll be fine, anyway~
though i appreciate all the thought you put into it (*´艸`*)

Or you could just, you know, deal with living all alone in your poor-persons apartment until you get a decent goddamn job.
no subject
besides
if that was my only option i could just try olympia instead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[He prefers Wyver, but not enough to not at least temporarily live in Olympia if the slums were really his only option in Wyver.]
no subject
And I'm saying that whatever your job is, it's obviously not paying you enough for the lifestyle you want to live.
Also if I were you I'd stick to Nadril over Olympia. Olympia's districts are even more financially secluded then Wyver are. At least in Nadril everyone seems to be living fairly similar lifestyles with barely any financial diversity.
no subject
hmm, it would take too long to get from nadril to wyver, though
at least olympia is only an hour and a half ┗(・o・)┛
no subject
So you can either use some of those savings of yours to get yourself a better damn place, get a better job that pays you more, or move to a place that has way less of a class divide.
Spoiler: Olympia is not that place.
no subject
but honestly, grumpy-san, i'm not sure you're paying attention at all...
i'm a little hurt (っ- ‸ – ς)
doesn't it get boring being that grumpy all the time?
[Ren's a little too polite and vague to say it directly, but he has the impression that Sanzo's not exactly coming off much better than he thinks Ren is in this exchange.]
no subject
Doesn't it get tiring being so obtuse all the time? I'm simply stating things as I see 'em.
Truthfully I don't even feel that angry at the moment, more so I'm just baffled over your reason for acting like some coy idiot. If you're a lonely asshole who's looking to make friends through setting up a roommate situation why don't you just ask instead of passively complaining about housing costs and location?
no subject
but you know, i'll be nice and leave you to think on them~
it's more fun that way, isn't it? (^_−)☆
i got what i asked for anyway
[From at least one person, because for once, he really was asking for exactly what he said. He hadn't been lying about not wanting to impose, but in a place like this he knows better than to open the floor to people he doesn't know.]
unless you're just dying to keep talking to me, of course~ (♡´艸`)

You managed to find someone who was willing to give you the information. That doesn't quite stop the fact that in order to live in such a place you would actually need to find someone who's willing to tolerate living with you.
None the less, you must be ecstatic about this new prospect.
no subject
but i'm pretty happy about it, actually~
thanks for asking (*^ω^*)
no subject
Now what?
no subject
i didn't know you were such a gossip, grumpy-san~
no subject
But if it's that much of a 'secret' I suppose I can be spared the juicy details.
no subject
i'm glad we understand each other (❁´ω`❁)
no subject
Feels strange actually.
