hello everyone ヾ(・ω・o)
my name is ren and i have a couple of questions about house stuff
or finding a place to live in wyver stuff i guess
though if you live somewhere else and want to talk about that then go ahead~

anyway, i was wondering what parts of the city are good for newcomers other than the old city
i know the old city seems to be where it's easiest to get somewhere but it's not really very nice compared to the rest of the city... (T▽T)
and it's been a really long time since i had to find a place to live, and doing it by myself is harder because it means i have to worry about money more... \| ̄ヘ ̄|/

[As someone who's been pretty well off his entire life, the "having to worry about money" angle is probably the newest part of all this to Ren.]

i haven't been here very long so i thought it might be best to get advice from people who've been here longer~
since a lot of you seem to have been here a pretty long time
so i'd really appreciate anyone's help! ҉*\( ‘ω’ )/*҉

I've read it.
And I'm saying that whatever your job is, it's obviously not paying you enough for the lifestyle you want to live.

Also if I were you I'd stick to Nadril over Olympia. Olympia's districts are even more financially secluded then Wyver are. At least in Nadril everyone seems to be living fairly similar lifestyles with barely any financial diversity.
smithandwesson: Is that something to be proud of?! (To hear this coming from a guy who would)

If you're claiming you have excess funds and you are saving it for something else than you are an idiot for complaining to begin with. It is you're own fault that you can't afford someplace better and now you just look like some brat coming here on the network who is complaining for the sake of complaining.

So you can either use some of those savings of yours to get yourself a better damn place, get a better job that pays you more, or move to a place that has way less of a class divide.

Spoiler: Olympia is not that place.
smithandwesson: Shut up and start walking you stupid monkey! (It's only a short distance!)

I don't know.
Doesn't it get tiring being so obtuse all the time? I'm simply stating things as I see 'em.

Truthfully I don't even feel that angry at the moment, more so I'm just baffled over your reason for acting like some coy idiot. If you're a lonely asshole who's looking to make friends through setting up a roommate situation why don't you just ask instead of passively complaining about housing costs and location?
smithandwesson: (...!!)

Congratulations.
You managed to find someone who was willing to give you the information. That doesn't quite stop the fact that in order to live in such a place you would actually need to find someone who's willing to tolerate living with you.

None the less, you must be ecstatic about this new prospect.

Well good on you then. I guess that's one thing off your bucket list.

Now what?

It's amazing what hobbies one can find interest in when they have infinite free time and lots of boredom.

But if it's that much of a 'secret' I suppose I can be spared the juicy details.
smithandwesson: (So much that it's embarrassing.)

[personal profile] smithandwesson 2018-11-22 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
... Apparently.

Feels strange actually.

Ah yes.
Blindly agreeing to everyone without questioning anything sounds like a wonderful way to go about life.

[And absolutely mind-numbing.]

Is that how you go about everything you do?

There's a famous saying within my world:

'Don't practice what you don't preach.'

Perhaps those words may do you some good. Because I'm not taking the advice to blindly agree from a man who obviously isn't much of the unquestioning moron himself.

[What a backhanded compliment.]

I'm only just repeating what you yourself said.

[He can feel himself outwardly sighing. This conversation is running in circles.]

In fact, I can pretty much take that opinion of yours and say the opposite of you. You really should take some of these matters a bit more seriously no?

It's not a matter of enjoyment. It's a matter of responsibility.

It just proves how young you are, mentally at least, that you never had to go around with any such worries bearing down upon you.
