Hello! I'm 9S, and I'm testing out the capabilities of these devices we've been given. I'm just looking at some technical stuff so, uh, feel free to disregard if it's not your sort of thing.

I know we've all lost our homes recently and that's pretty rough to deal with, but... if you wouldn't mind, could you tell me if you came from Earth? And if you did, what did you like about it?

You can do that if you're from somewhere else too! Earth's the only planet I had experience with before coming here, but I'd be happy to hear about other worlds as well.

Earth. I wouldn't say I really like anything about it, though. [ he has a very strained personal relationship with his planet. ]

[ 9S has a complicated relationship with Earth, but he's surprised to hear that it wasn't all great before his time. ]

I think everything that I liked before coming here had to be associated with Earth, since that's the only place any of them could happen for me. I'm a little slim on the interplanetary experiences myself.

I've only been to Earth and in its orbit, but my activities there were pretty focused.

Our mysterious benefactors have a considerable level of technology though. I'm sure you could find something here you like.

As for what I liked about it... It's kind of hard to put into words. Maybe the general atmosphere? There were so many people, and they all had to live together. Without cooperation, nobody would get very far. And of course there were people who didn't cooperate with others at all, or who tried to take more than their share, but that there was enough cooperation to base such a complicated society on is pretty amazing, when you think about it.

But I like other things as well! The food, and the place where I lived... The sea was very nice. And all sorts of animals - like cats!

Honestly, I don't think this planet is that different from Earth, except in the details.

Communities can be a lot of work, but it sounds like you came from a pretty amazing place. Where I come from, that... didn't really happen.

[ The machine lifeforms were out to destroy the androids and humanity, and aside from a few outliers there was no cooperation to be had. It was terrible. And worse, he wasn't even sure if it was worth it. ]

Not everyone was brought here from Earth - some have even been to other planets. I'm from Earth, but I didn't actually live there.

The city was known as San Francisco, I think? If that would sound familiar to you.

It doesn't ring a bell, but the Earth I came from was a little different.

I'm from Earth! And boy, you've asked a really hard question because what isn't there to like? ... Okay, there's a couple of things actually, but, I do think there's a way to love nearly everything about it! The food, people, different countries, and cultures, how far we've come from when we first started...
