[ The feed turns on with a young elven man. Blond, windswept hair pushed from his eyes so the green shines more prominently. He sits at the head of the bed, leg crossed over the other, fingers knitted together and folded in front of him. There's a look to his face, one he's practiced enough to make it seamless and natural; it's focused, determined and confident.

He's planned it in his head, figured the speech. Now it's time to present. Hopefully, all bases are covered.

A smile plays on his lips but it's still with that air of leadership. ]

To my fellow refugees of Thesea, I am Inquisitor Lavellan.

Back in my world of Thedas I was the leader of a group known as the Inquisition. The goal of our group was to bring order back to a world that was thrown into chaos by an event known as The Breach.

In the end, it appeared we've failed due to the matter of the Storm, but I didn't come here to talk about failure. I came here with an idea and to succeed.

[A small pause for dramatic effect before he continues.]

We are a group of diverse people, probably the most that any of our individual worlds have ever seen. We come with different experiences, as different races, creeds, and a variety of knowledge.

What I'm suggesting is something similar to what my Organization has done. We bring order. We work together, bring our talents and skills to the forefront and find a way to destroy the Storm and hopefully save what we have lost. If there is a chance we may be able to restore our own worlds and go back to our lives if we choose too.

Darma said we must choose our side but I believe we can make our own. The foundation I'm looking to make is a neutral ground but with the end goal of defeating the Storm. That is our true enemy.

[ Finally, he unlaces his fingers and gestures a hand, holding it out to the side. ]

But, I do not intend to elect myself leader. I was chosen for the position back home for a quality I possessed but here? We're all on equal ground. I don't make any assumptions you would choose a complete stranger as a leader who has yet proven himself to all of you. What I suggest is we make a council instead. Those who are familiar with leading or have that quality, are willing to take up the duties required for it and will help do what is right.

From there, we would need agents, volunteers. Anyone willing to lend aid in gathering research and to help us secure some kind of base where we can operate from.

[ The smile becomes more broader, brighter and it's brimming with confidence. All playing into that careful mask he had to build back home when facing the mass public.]

I believe we can do this together. We showed that even when we were thrown into disarray we can unite and overcome. Consider what I've suggested.

For now, have a good day everyone.

[And he clicks off.]

[She can't help but be smiling by the time she reaches the end of it.]

Well said. I'm sure there will be many who will want to mock you for being naive or optimistic, but I see nothing wrong with being hopeful or giving a purpose and hope to those who may be struggling with finding either.

[She bows her head politely, partly in greeting, partly in deference] I am Mipha, and I was the crown princess of my people. I would not mind helping to aide in such an effort. I only hope my skills will prove enough to help.

Not just for the sake of restoring our own homes, if we can, but also to help improve things here on this planet playing host to us--It's the least we can do.

[Ah, this guy again. She probably shouldn't be surprised. He seems to gravitate towards leadership. Despite his video post, she still defaults to her usual text.]

You really must enjoy drawing order out of complete clusterfucks.
I'm not opposed, though.
Uniting this disparate band of refugees is a decent cause on its own.
If it turns out there's a way to metaphorically or literally punch the Storm in the face, even better.
You'll have my cooperation.

[Belatedly, she remembers that they spoke in person last time and that he wouldn't be familiar with her handle or distinctive font color. So as an afterthought:]

This is Rose, by the way.

[Unlike everyone else, Loz isn't impressed. This six foot two giant of a man just looks bored as he watches this message from start to finish. Mind you, he's not properly dressed either and has no idea he's on video right now. That's why he's staring into the screen of his phone fresh out the shower with only a towel tied around his waist and nothing else.

That signature silver hair of his a tad droopy too since it's wet. He has yet to style it properly, so some of the pale strands get into his eyes.
]

This sounds like nothing but trouble! Darma isn't gonna like this, pipsqueak.

[Yes, he's making fun of you already, shorty.]

[ This guy knows that Inquisition is an incredibly ominous name, right. ]

Uh huh. Cool speech, I guess, goosebumps all up and down my arms and jazz. [ very flatly. maybe he just hides his emotions well. ] What, uh, exactly are you looking for here, my dude? Tax breaks? Membership dues? Tom Cruise to show up at your conference? Because I'm gonna need some clarification on that, homeslice. We all got fucked with by the Storm, or the Hunger, or whatever metal album name it's going by in this plane, don't exactly need a round table of dipshits [Full offense.] telling me what I already know. World-eating all-consuming entity equals bad. Got it. Message received! You got any actually new information before you whip up a volunteer army to run errands or just some more quotes from inspirational cassettes?

[ This has clearly struck a nerve, but he doesn't seem to feel at all bad about going The Full Aggro. Sorry about it.]

( text because this seems pretty formal, and she wants to leave something like a written record. )

Would you consider this a continuation of your organisation? Because I think you could pick a better name for the group, and title for the group's head.
Religious overtones aside, have you thought about the politics of this group yet? I think we should learn more about this world before forming ourselves into a faction. Your intentions may be neutral, but organisations never stay so for long.
The Storm may be our ultimate enemy but we can't just ignore what's going on in El Nysa. These people need our help.

[The speech is nice, and some part of it speaks to her. What he says, though, almost makes her afraid. Neutrality is just a nice word at the end of the day, especially when he's speaking of "agents." She could never do that. More than that, she's not sure that any of them can do that.

The fear doesn't come from him, but rather the sinking realization she has in this situation about how ill-prepared she is.]

I think you have a good idea, but I think a number of us might need a different kind of neutrality. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think we should be focus on helping people like me adapt before we take on this storm. If we're pushing for something neutral, I think it has to be neutral. Otherwise, it sounds like what you want is to introduce another side altogether, when we're ... outsiders here. Plain and simple.

[Veronica wishes she could be more jovial, but—well. She can't. She's also unaware of how her statement is inherently selfish at heart.]

As for the storm—well—... is that even a thing we can do?

[ cute, but painfully idealistic. such groups tend to never go well in the long run no matter how pure the intentions.

but he won't be saying that, of course. ]

Now, doesn't that all depend on whether everyone really does want to work together? Or if our hosts would want an organization like this?

[ things to consider, kid. still, best of luck. ]

[Here's a familiar face, his expression the same as ever. Amused, though it's hard to tell if there's something patronizing beginning to eke into his tone or otherwise.]

You've enough skeptical voices, so I need not add mine.

[Whether this means he had anything critical to add or not, he doesn't say.]

Casting your net wide, aren't you? And so early at that; a show of motivation and determination, which is admirable, but your timing needs a bit of work. [Okay, maybe a little critical.] That being said, if you wish to garner trust, you need earn it before making a grand, sweeping announcement like this. Gather together a small group of interested individuals first, and expand from there. Only then will you have a better idea of the resources you would require, the hands you would need, and the goals that would be laid before you.

[Not for one moment does Ardyn believe an organization ever really skews towards neutrality, in the ideal sense of the word. And yet that doesn't seem to be a huge sticking point for him, for whatever reason that may be.]

It's not that I don't appreciate the sentiment, but if even Darma couldn't fight the Storm, is there really any way for us to do so? We don't even have a way to return to our worlds to fight it.

And while it would be nice to stay united as a group to some degree... is it really all right to make it anything so formal? What you're suggesting sounds almost like a government within a government, and... I don't know if that's a good idea. More to the point: it doesn't feel polite? We're guests here; we've been given a new home... We owe this city a great deal.

Why must leaders always give such long speeches. Is that like a rule? Do you put that on your job application? "Skills include: talking to people at length at the drop of a hat, no less than 1000 words".

If you go on and on and everyone's stopped listening you can slip something in there that no one notices? That's what I'd do. No, actually, I'd make someone else read it. What's the point of being a leader if it requires so much effort?

[Hello fellow leader-type kind of forced into her position due to circumstance here, at your service.

She's not quite sure about neutrality, but she's definitely the sort of girl who can latch on to anything that sounds hopeful. It's not that she doesn't have her doubts but--

Well, hope had been her driving force back in her universe, after all, and it remains the same here.
]

This is a promising idea; our focus should be on defeating this Storm, and trying to restore what we can of our worlds while not ignoring the needs of this universe as well. We cannot simply get complacent, especially when we still know so little of this universe and only know that this Storm is the reason for why we are here.

I am Princess Allura of the planet Altea, and I will be happy to lend my assistance in any way I can. It...is good to hear that there are others trying to solve this issue of the Storm and taking initiative to do so.

It's not a bad idea but I'm not sure how realistic it is. I mean this Storm or whatever is killing entire universes and if a space-god or whatever Darma is can't actually stop it, it seems kind of impossible that we'd be able to do much.

Unless it's like some secret bad guy pulling the strings behind the scenes or something but that'd be really anticlimactic.

How're you going to fund an organization like this if you get people to sign up?

I'm glad I'm memorable.
And I'm assuming the avalanche bit is some inside joke, as I don't imagine you've seen Mulan before.
But whatever the Storm is, there has to be something that can be done about it.
I refuse to believe otherwise.
And I'm ready to fight reality itself if I must.
