[ After the murmurs of job opportunities began to mix through the idle chit chat of the refugees, Ann wanted to get a few questions out to the people who may or may not have already started work. ]
Soooo... this whole jobs thing...
It's not as easy as it seems, right? I know we're suppose to work our asses off to make sure they keep the people in Thesa safe, but β has anyone had experience working with something like... that? Guards, scholars, and uh... adult workers.... It all sounds like some weird characters from a fantasy novel or something. Cliche, but given the past few weeks? Totally legit.
I guess I'm wanting to ask: how are you knowing you're a good "fit" for one of these jobs? Back home, I was...
[ She wants to say model, but she doesn't really give the deets too much. ]
Let's just say the closest I got to any of these kind of jobs were reading Shakespeare in school.
If you know of any normal jobs or have any pointers on talking with the recruiters, let me know!!! My skills include fashion, picking good places to eat, and persevering through unlikely circumstances! o(^β½^)o

There are some clothing stores in the noble district that might be able to make use of your expertise. If nothing else, the nobles here are quite... eccentric. [ granted, that could just be said of the culture of olympia in general, but the less said about that the better. ] I wouldn't be surprised if there were some out there open to wasting... er, spending their money on a fashion consultant.
Otherwise, there may be something in the entertainment district suited to someone of your abilities. I couldn't really find anything that was a perfect fit for myself either, but I've made do somehow. [ though the less said about that, the better. ]

That's what I was thinking... I just have to make sure I can pull my weight with cash. Those kind of jobs didn't make a lot of money back home - [ Honestly? She worked part time and prob was more excited seeing her face in a magazine. But... here, it's serious!! ] I'll go first thing tomorrow and see if I can haggle for a good job.
[ YOU DON'T HAGGLE JOBS. But, when he mentions the entertainment district, she flushes at the thought. She's definitely heard the loose-lipped natives talk about how pleasure and entertainment can mix together. ]
M-Maybe...? I never thought of myself in β uh, that kind of industry. What did you settle with?

Even if you can find a wealthy patron or two, you'll likely be fine. Jobs like that tend to be more about who you know than your actual skill. [ is that a good thing? maybe not, but just go impress some rich people and you'll be fine.
...and ugh, he immediately regrets mentioning anything; of course she would want more details. ]
Security. [ ... ... ... yeah no he's not going to elaborate any further. ]

I guess. It all depends on if I can find the right people and if I can get in their good graces... [ She hums, thoughtfully so. ] And if they're wealthy, they'd more likely have some kind of intel that may prove beneficial...
[ BUT, SECURITY. ]
Oh? Guess that makes a nice cash out.

Like you, I'm more concerned with the information it'll provide me. Though, I can't exactly complain about the money either. Two birds with one stone, as the saying goes.
[ and yet he still sounds oddly exasperated by it all. ]
So far, the brothel has been a decent source of intel, at least. [ oversharing, archer. oversharing. ]

Trying to avoid that kind of thing won't get you very far.

[ BET IT DIDN'T STOP AKIRA. :/ ]
Adult stuff for raunchy adults, you know?

[ he was just going there for fortune telling and plant nutrients... probably. ]
...perhaps it's best you don't rely on the adults here after all.

[ ALL YOU, BRO. ]

Hm? Oh, I will. [ wink...... except he's on voice, so he can't actually wink right now. ] If this job has any perks, it's that the madam isn't too hands on. [ whatever that means Β―\_(γ)_/Β― ]

That's... good... I guess? If it gets weird and too much, you can always just find a different job. Don't let anyone push your boundaries.
[ wtf, ann you're the teen stop babying? ]

[ though... really, as long as she doesn't suddenly throw all caution out the window during her job search, she should be fine. ]
It sounds like you'll end up alright regardless.

[ Especially when she was having a panic attack over fake jobs. ]
I'll try, though. All we can do.
