Soooo... this whole jobs thing...
It's not as easy as it seems, right? I know we're suppose to work our asses off to make sure they keep the people in Thesa safe, but — has anyone had experience working with something like... that? Guards, scholars, and uh... adult workers.... It all sounds like some weird characters from a fantasy novel or something. Cliche, but given the past few weeks? Totally legit.

I guess I'm wanting to ask: how are you knowing you're a good "fit" for one of these jobs? Back home, I was...

Let's just say the closest I got to any of these kind of jobs were reading Shakespeare in school.

That sounds like a plan. Do you have experience in either of those? I heard some of the locals talking about some rare hunts north of Olympia that they're getting people geared up to go look for. [ as i pull this out from my ass, sorry. ] And everyone needs their golden mead or whatever refilled....

i cant make any promises about my shame, weird shit just happens to me and i deal with it.

im pretty good at fighting, so i figure it can't be too hard. and i used to be a waitress in my family's restaurant years ago when i was a teen. the only thing i need to remember is not to get into piss fights with annoying customers. food service can make you hate people really fast.

One time at the buffet I went to a lot in Tokyo, there was a super old couple who dined before us. So like, this place has a big policy: no take-out. Usually, I'm for it, but hello? This was like a million yen and it was super expensive to even get a strawberry lemonade

Anyways.

The couple kept trying to take rolls and put it in her bag and — first of all, rolls, really?
Secondly, when the staff caught her, she immediately started pelting him with her bag and saying they were trying to rob rich old ladies.

I totally get it.

Personally? Hunting sounds a lot less problematic than waitressing.

hahah what the hell?? that's messed up! if that were me, i'd just belt right out the store. though i guess she's an old lady so she probably cant run. rich people got no problems in the world sometimes i swear.

the only issue with hunting is when you need to carry a corpse across the valley and you get animal stink all over you. i take like two showers daily just to not feel disgusting. better that than being a royal guard tho.

I just wanted food and instead had a show.

What if you guys got like... a sled or something? It'll help with travel AND moving things.

I was thinking about the guard... don't think I'm cut out for it OR interested in it, but like, job security? I guess.

ohh sled would work!! or maybe like a wagon and i just push it inside. id just have to be careful not to go for anything super huge.

the guard thing sounds neat but also really serious? i cant be responsible for other peoples lives im barely responsible for my own. but hey if you ever need some silver, you can always tag along to help me with manual labor. i dont really get set payments but i'll give you some as payment.

Manual labor... ugh. That's ALL the jobs are... they sound super hard!! If you're willing to show me the ropes, I'd help, I guess.

well ok it's the real world on an alien planet but still real adult world. trust me im still getting used to it myself so i feel you.
good thing about manual labor is anyone can be good at it so long as they dont mind pulling their weight. im sure you'll be fine.

sci-fi fantasy crap or not, real world = real work. getting a job and paying the bills.
i got faith cause if anything goes wrong, i'll protect you and you're gonna run like hell back to the outpost.
