[ After the murmurs of job opportunities began to mix through the idle chit chat of the refugees, Ann wanted to get a few questions out to the people who may or may not have already started work. ]
Soooo... this whole jobs thing...
It's not as easy as it seems, right? I know we're suppose to work our asses off to make sure they keep the people in Thesa safe, but β has anyone had experience working with something like... that? Guards, scholars, and uh... adult workers.... It all sounds like some weird characters from a fantasy novel or something. Cliche, but given the past few weeks? Totally legit.
I guess I'm wanting to ask: how are you knowing you're a good "fit" for one of these jobs? Back home, I was...
[ She wants to say model, but she doesn't really give the deets too much. ]
Let's just say the closest I got to any of these kind of jobs were reading Shakespeare in school.
If you know of any normal jobs or have any pointers on talking with the recruiters, let me know!!! My skills include fashion, picking good places to eat, and persevering through unlikely circumstances! o(^β½^)o

I could always use another skilled tactician to bounce my ideas off of. Especially now.
[ Look, she's just challenging you. ]
Also, [ here it comes~ ] I'm surprised you didn't add that skill to your list. It's an important one, more so than picking out an outfit.

R-Right β I totally am here for idea bouncing! [ Rin, you're lucky she thinks she's a decent actor and can improvise. Spoiler: she can't. ] I... uh... don't want to give β uh... too much about me, you know? A girl has to keep some mystery about herself!

But it's an important skill. Probably the only skill on your list that makes you somewhat appealing. So it's worth mentioning.
[ Basically, no one is going to flock to you because you know where to find the best cinnamon apple pie in town... ]

[ Look, she's a pro at sweets? That's super valuable. ]

However, [ Her tone shifts suddenly. If Ann was the observant type, she'll be quick to notice a harshness in her voice.
Uh-oh. Someone was in big trouble. ] lying on a resume is looked down upon. Not only will you look like a complete fool, you'll be the sole reason for your team failures. They'll turn to you for things you obviously can't provide.
no subject
It's not lying! [ She tries to defend herself. ] It's β uh... fabricating a little bit? The possibility is there... okay. Jeez, you're relentless, Tohsaka-senpai.
[ Straight to the gut with the root of the issue. ]
Fiiiine, I'll focus on where I'm better suited.

We're equal as far as I'm concern!
[ um, what were they talking about again? ]
no subject
Did I β [ Say something? No, she doesn't finish that sentence. ] We're only equal because we're all part of one lame ass refugee army or something!
[ She at least doesn't feel reprimanded much anymore. ]
1/2
Look, I'll just cut to the chase here. [ She's gonna do it!! ]
There's no need to hold me to a higher standard. [ Because quite frankly, she had enough of that at school. ]
Just call me Rin, and I'll do the same--

[ Pause: ]
Rin.
[ She tries not to smirk at that. ]

Perhaps this way a bad idea. It sounds like you're having far too much fun over there.

[ Grrrrr. ]

Oh. We were talking about that, weren't we? You shouldn't be. Just wait until something pings to you the most. That's what I'm doing.
[ because her dumbass mun didn't decide yet. oops. ]
no subject
What would ping me the most is going back to school so I don't have to work! Grades I can kind of skim by but β [ waves hands at playing recon. ] this is all weird. I don't want to let my friends down by choosing something lame and unhelpful.
no subject
You're also letting your friends down by holding back.
no subject
So what would you do if you're like some fish out of water?
[ Really, she wants to hear this one. ]

[ She says with a huff in her voice. ]
If it's easy, how would you do it?
