[Behind Claire is a fairly unassuming background. An empty wall, and a cabinet with an assortment of herbs, bottles, and jars to be put in their proper place. She takes a breath before clapping her hands together.]

Well. Seems like I chose a wonderful time to open my own clinic.

[With all this summoning business.]

As some of you might remember, the Sanctuary made it very clear during the riots some months back that it can't always be relied on. [The smile here is thin. Very thin.] I never felt comfortable setting foot in that place after being turned away at the doors when people were in need. So, I've opened my own, near the market district here in Olympia. It's nothing grand, or... much at all, yet, but in time I hope it will be a place people are comfortable coming with medical concerns, be it treatment or a desire to learn a few things as I was once teaching with Dr. John Watson.

Seeing that he's returned to stasis, I'd be happy to see anyone that was under his care.

[And she probably shouldn't laugh, but... it's better than dwelling on the fear of the recent news.]

Hopefully my new endeavor isn't destroyed by a dragon anytime in the near future.

Anyone who was under his care?

[Ramsay wasn't under John's care. He never met the man. But Claire might not know that, and he's bored today.]

I don't know much about medicine, ma'am, but if the clinic needs protecting anytime soon, you can count on me.

[ Ah! It's the charming woman he met on the beach. What a wondrous occasion, if one ignores the threat of dragon revival looming dark in the backdrop. ]

My congratulations. If you ever find yourself in need of assistance, I would be happy to lend a hand.

Well, now you've gone and said it.

[ Steve's tone is slightly joking, but obviously he means well. Dragons are honestly the last thing Cap needs right now. ]

Congratulations on the clinic though, Claire. [ He means it. This is a good thing. ] If you need any help in the moving or set-up, let me know.

You've opened a Clairenic? Well goddamn, if that isn't nominative determinism at work.

[ The guilt, it's terrible. You ever have such crushing guilt you feel like you might die? Yeah. ]

I'm out in Wyver right now but I normally live in Olympia. If this all goes to hell, I have some training if you need extra hands.

[It is a touch more primitive than the various equivalent workrooms that Krile has been through at one time or another...but only a touch. What interests her more is the chance to, perhaps, feel a little less adrift in this world.]

Are you opposed to some occasional assistance from somebody living in Wyver? I understand the distance might prove too much of a hindrance, in the end.

[But she wants to try. Besides, she's not even seen Olympia, and from the sound of it, functional knowledge of both cities is only going to prove a benefit in the coming days.]

The dead being raised. I didn't think I would see that here, not unless it was the Natha.

Sorry to hear about Dr. Watson. Diana was sent back also.

[ That's why he's not showing his face. His stubble might be growing into a beard again... ]

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help with your clinic. I'd like to keep myself busy.

And here I was hoping another doctor would set up in Shades Darker. I've ran out of excuses for going there.

The Sanctuary did that?

[Yusei doesn't remember much, but he does remember being helped by them way, way back when he'd first arrived. They had been one of the first to offer aid to the straggling arrivals. He still has the small potion bottle he'd gotten as a reward from helping them.

He can't imagine the Sanctuary doing that. Then again, he wasn't in Olympia during those riots, he was in Wyver, so he really doesn't know the situation at all.]

I never expected that of them. That's disappointing. No place of healing should ever turn away someone in need.

This is wonderful news, Claire. Congratulations.

[ In all honesty, she ought to visit the clinic herself, but there are questions she'd rather not answer right now. ]

It's good for people to have a place and physician they can trust.

Does that happen a lot? People start to get the hang of the world and then they go back to stasis?

[He's interested in the clinic as well, but this key information caught his attention first.]

Maintaining a medical clinic is quite the undertaking.

[ He should know. Dazai's mentor was, among many other roles, a physician who was more than adept at treating numerous conditions. A good deal of this knowledge ended up passed his way, though less due to luck than a lifestyle that necessitated that kind of firsthand experience, if one didn't want to die. ]

More so if you're running this on your own. [ A hum of thought. ] Could you use some help?

[ In a crisis or if the sanctuary shuts it's doors again, she'd be overwhelmed by desperate people in need of medical care with no one else to turn to. He's no doctor, but Dazai has survived more attempts on his life than should be possible, and that skill could be put to good use. Not that the offer comes without any strings, when there's little in the way of a downside when it comes to aligning yourself with someone who can treat grave wounds to an extent that he cannot, in a place where they seem perched on the cusp of an impending conflict. ]

[ Cue some smiling curls. ]

This is wonderful news, Claire.

Oh my, look at all your herbs! I'm quite jealous, really. Have you got any lavender? Not for healing purposes, I just miss the smell.

Oh no -- I suppose they'd all be things from Olympia, wouldn't they? Hmm. [He taps his fingers against his lips thoughtfully]

You wouldn't happen to have any use for dried poppies, would you? They make a fantastic tea, and I'd be happy to donate to a good cause, if you wanted them.
