[Behind Claire is a fairly unassuming background. An empty wall, and a cabinet with an assortment of herbs, bottles, and jars to be put in their proper place. She takes a breath before clapping her hands together.]

Well. Seems like I chose a wonderful time to open my own clinic.

[With all this summoning business.]

As some of you might remember, the Sanctuary made it very clear during the riots some months back that it can't always be relied on. [The smile here is thin. Very thin.] I never felt comfortable setting foot in that place after being turned away at the doors when people were in need. So, I've opened my own, near the market district here in Olympia. It's nothing grand, or... much at all, yet, but in time I hope it will be a place people are comfortable coming with medical concerns, be it treatment or a desire to learn a few things as I was once teaching with Dr. John Watson.

Seeing that he's returned to stasis, I'd be happy to see anyone that was under his care.

[And she probably shouldn't laugh, but... it's better than dwelling on the fear of the recent news.]

Hopefully my new endeavor isn't destroyed by a dragon anytime in the near future.

There could have easily been a better way to resolve that. Like establishing some sort of temporary station outside the doors to give aid there, keeping the majority of the supplies inside and doling them out as necessary.

If that place was as supportive as they claim to be, there would have been at least a few volunteers willing to brace the riots out there. Or at least be able to enlist some aid regarding some protection. There isn't an excuse for that.

I ended up setting up a makeshift clinic, then. I suppose it planted the seed for this operation.

It was a terrifying, uncertain time, and a part of me can see why the Sanctuary reacted as they did--but there were much better ways, you're right. What's done is done, however. All we can do is know better than to rely on them next time.

...It's disappointing. They can do better, I know they can. They were very helpful when we first arrived.

But you're right, we only have the future to look forward to. I might be in Wyver, but I'd like to help in any way I can. At the very lest, I can wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.
