Looking for someone you can chat with...
You’re now chatting with dualhound ... Say hi!
How come I have to have a "silver turd" and a "blind dude" as roommates? They both suck!
Who came up with this idea? This is stupid.
Might kick them out. They're too noisy.
Does anyone even like their roommates? Mine are annoying. Let's do a trade.

I gave you all, Greyjoy. I spilt my blood beside you.
You spat in it, and kept walking.
Threadjack
Should the pair of you have further grievances to air, let us agree on a time and place to meet.
And not reveal all to everyone who would listen.
( It's not like they need to twist her arm to make her act as their queen. )

Crowns, after all, are more grievous topics than anything else. ]
Your offer of mediation is appreciated, your grace, and counsel well kept. As for the rotted carcass that was once a friendship between Greyjoy and I, you needn't subject yourself to the discourse. It will remain dead, and, perhaps one day, the dead will no longer walk the long night.

( It may come to pass that she will press the issue if these petty squabbles become too disruptive. She'd not mentioned Viserys, and will pointedly refrain from doing so. His is no example she would follow. )
What is this long night you refer to?

[ Harsh, perhaps, but true enough. They may yet have much to learn from one another, and historical revisions could lay in store. ]
The Winter as you, nor none in the Southern realms, have never known it, Your Grace.
It was upon us not long before The Storm came to take us all.

If I can lend aid to ease things between yourself and Theon Greyjoy, I will. Otherwise, I leave the matter to you.
( Harsh and blunt, but then, she's only ever been told of the whole of her father's exploits. And only recently. Rhaegar's life has been a mystery to her from the first.
As the concept of anything but blisteringly hot days and freezing nights has been. )
I see. What did winter in our homeland entail?

You know where I sleep should you wish to do your duty. Nothing's stopping you from passing the sentence and swinging the sword. It's what your father would wish.
After all, you've already said it yourself, Stark. I was never your family.
no subject
Both of you have a duty to carry on in this place where our people cannot. We are all that remains. To lose sight of what that means would be foolish.

You people write so fancily! What's the deal with that?!
lmao thank you for all this

[ Theon understands her meaning, and he doesn't want to die, but he knows what his treachery would have earned him in the North. This is Robb's decision by right, and he'll allow only Robb to decide what should become of him. ]
no subject
I don't know what you've done, only that it must be grave for you to offer your life. We spit on the memory of all those who have perished if we die here so soon. So you will not.
( She will insist here, because she was prepared to work with people she'd not necessarily liked or trusted (Varys) to restore peace to their homeland. It will take some time and an accord before she might ever recognize either of them as her equal. )
no subject
[ It's okay, though, because he was too. ]
I do not offer my life. I only offer Robb the opportunity to do his duty.

[ Let him sweat over that for a minute, perhaps two, before he sends another message. It is difficult, corresponding like this — ravens gave oneself time to compose one's thoughts. To truly drive a sword in, deep and concise. This exchange has been a detriment to them both, but mostly to Robb — it is not only upon himself which he brings shame and the threat of danger. There is Sansa to think of, and Jon.
He catches flashes of them, growing up together. In the midst and at the edges, solid but blurry: Theon.
Their not-brother, smiling too fiercely. ]
I suppose we have that in common, in the end.
[ The truth is only half so, but it burns well enough. He lets the flames go. ]

[ Theon doesn’t truly want to die, but his offer is an attempt to give something to Robb in the midst of this mess. He can’t beg for forgiveness; surely there’s none to give. He can’t return Winterfell or its people, or even now force himself to choose between his own family and the Starks. Worst of all, he can’t place himself back at Robb’s side to warn him of Roose Bolton’s intentions, and that eats him up more than anything else.
I should have been the one who died, he thinks as he dwells on his next response. Not Robb. ]
I’m a Greyjoy. It’s all I ever could be.
[ Though he wishes it were easier than that. ]
no subject
[ He pauses, considering. The bitter gears in his mind turn, then settle. ]
Now you all but beg for it, as if it would relieve you of your own suffering, such as you believe it to be.
I will not accommodate you here, Theon Greyjoy. Even if it should give all of House Stark great satisfaction.
As long as I have air in my lungs, you will feel no relief.
no subject
[ A quick and sudden accusation, but is it really completely unfounded? Robb isn't completely wrong; Theon would love to be spared his own suffering. Guilt creeps into every thought and every breath he takes, and he can't shake an ounce of it from his shoulders, but he doesn't make this offer out of that type of selfishness. He offers because he feels it's the right thing to do. It's what Robb would have wanted, if things had turned out differently. ]
This isn't about me. You can't bring yourself to do it, not even when I've offered it to you on a silver platter. What's changed so suddenly?

threadjack: the threadjackening
He is not worth the effort, Robb. The time of a king is precious, and yours would surely be better spent elsewhere than trying to reason with a traitor.
i threadjack your threadjack
You hadn't even learned to walk when I came to Winterfell. I know the ways of the North as much as you do. Robb decides what is worth his effort. You and a queen who has never even seen her homeland do not.
no subject
I made no mention of your knowledge of the ways of the North. Only a fool imagines slights when there are none.
Besides, my words were to my brother, not you. If I cannot decide what is worth Robb's time, surely I can decide what is worth mine. [ read: you are not. ]
no subject
Her words do sting, though. Jon aside, Sansa was the Stark child who was always seemed the most distant from him. Their paths seldom crossed, they rarely spoke, and Then can think of no memories they’ve shared together. There was a time when Robb considered him to be as close as a brother, but he knows that the others never felt the same. ]
Am I meant to believe this is a new decision? I never was worth your time.

You know what happens to the lone wolf... and we are not alone.
[ as long as they do not side with Theon... then he is the lone wolf, and only the pack will survive. ]
no subject
But you're right, of course. How did my young sister grow so wise despite her short years? I have not made the proper time to the hear the songs you would sing... or the songs the southern beasts forced upon you.
[ He doesn't mean for her to enlighten him, now. Not at all. He only laments his foolishness, and their collective wounds. ]
