I’ll not congratulate anyone for the beginnings of this cure.

[ Oh, look, it's that guy who pisses everyone off. The corner of his mouth quirks into a cruel smirk, but his teeth are clenched too tightly and his eyes burn too fiercely for any proper smile. It’s a struggle for him to remain as guarded as he would prefer, and there are cracks in his armor: he’s clearly angry and upset. ]

My sister was among the ill. Was. I have been informed that she has since returned to the pods—still uncured.

[ He tries to keep his tone even and cold, void of emotion, but his voice breaks ever so slightly. He and Asha weren’t close, not like he’s known siblings should be, but it’s a deep cut to be abandoned again, and it hurts to know that one of the few people he felt he could trust in this place is gone. Clearing his throat, he continues.]

Which leads me to the question at hand. What reason do I, or the worried, or any of the ailing, have to trust the maesters here? Healers--whatever name you may know them by. Months, this has gone on, to the point where someone is gone and remains unhealed.

[ He knows better than to critique those who have done nothing but help, but his anger is directionless otherwise, so he chuckles cruelly, and that cheshire smirk widens. ]

They’ve been all but useless.

[ He should make up his mind. Is it "there's nothing to speak of" or is it "I do not wish to speak of it"? Theon, please. ]

[Bottle things up enough and the slightest shake leads to an explosion. She's been guilty of it herself.]

[ Theon doesn't trust anyone. He tries not to cling to Robb as much as he does, but pieces of trust still remain there, but only on Theon's side. He can't imagine that Robb will ever trust him again. And Ramsay--he doesn't trust Ramsay for anything more than to tell him the truth. It isn't even the truth at all. ]

Who do you think I trust? I think I've made it clear that I do not.

Sansa? Her brothers? [She doesn't know.] They may not understand you as well as your sister, but they're good people.

[ Another chuckle. So much wrong with that statement, so much that Claire doesn't understand or know. He doesn't expect her to. ]

Robb and I aren't on good terms. Jon and I never were. I thought everyone knew by now.

[ He and Robb kicked off their entrance to Olympia with a very loud and intense argument that disrupted their neighbors, then extended to the network, and eventually ended in Robb coming very close to stabbing him in the blood bank.

They were best bros once, I swear. ]

It's no real secret.

Apparently not. Those boys don't air their grievances with me. [Not that Theon comes up in conversation. And Claire, blissfully, must have been out of the blood bank that day or else Robb might be on Her List as well. Can't have that. She has a fondness for Starks.

She sighs, looking off screen for a moment as she rubs her jaw.]

You can trust me. It's a thing to be earned, I know. But you needn't be alone while dealing with this loss.

[Because when left alone it seems he starts shit like this. Go figure.]

[ Theon tries not to air his grievances, but it just happens when he bottles up his emotions to the point where there's no room for any more, as with this entire network post. And unfortunately, he too has a fondness for the Starks. He wishes he could rid himself of it. It would make things so much easier.

With a conceding sigh, he nods. For once, he's the one who's grown weary. ]

Aye. If I find anything I care to speak about, perhaps I will.

[ There’s so much he would like to talk about to someone, but again, he won’t allow himself, not even with the offer. ]

[People can be angry, upset, but it's hard to be on the offense for so long without tiring.]

Maybe when this is all over [either because the cure is found or the infected die] and there's a chance for everyone to find their footing again, you'll share a drink with me. Not necessarily to talk about--anything, really, but to get to know one another without yelling. How does that sound?

[ He doesn't speak for a moment, but when he does, that insufferable smirk tugs at the corners of his mouth once more. It's still forced, strained, but it's all he has. ]

I suppose I've shared worse company. Aye.

[ And he silently swears to speak of nothing. Who knows if he'll hold to that or not? ]
