I’ll not congratulate anyone for the beginnings of this cure.
[ Oh, look, it's that guy who pisses everyone off. The corner of his mouth quirks into a cruel smirk, but his teeth are clenched too tightly and his eyes burn too fiercely for any proper smile. It’s a struggle for him to remain as guarded as he would prefer, and there are cracks in his armor: he’s clearly angry and upset. ]
My sister was among the ill. Was. I have been informed that she has since returned to the pods—still uncured.
[ He tries to keep his tone even and cold, void of emotion, but his voice breaks ever so slightly. He and Asha weren’t close, not like he’s known siblings should be, but it’s a deep cut to be abandoned again, and it hurts to know that one of the few people he felt he could trust in this place is gone. Clearing his throat, he continues.]
Which leads me to the question at hand. What reason do I, or the worried, or any of the ailing, have to trust the maesters here? Healers--whatever name you may know them by. Months, this has gone on, to the point where someone is gone and remains unhealed.
[ He knows better than to critique those who have done nothing but help, but his anger is directionless otherwise, so he chuckles cruelly, and that cheshire smirk widens. ]
They’ve been all but useless.

Not here. Meet me elsewhere. I don't care where.

Alright, how about the marketplace?
[He did say he didn't care, but it's a formality thing.]
no subject
Aye. That will do.
no subject
I'll meet you in front of the fruit stand then.
[Starting as soon as the feed ends, which maybe goes without saying? He doesn't say it.]

More apparent is a small pouch in his hand; big enough to contain something the size of a pencil holder -- syringe holder, in this case, antidote included. Theon may've only just arrived as Keith advances onto the scene. There's a half-wave as he recognizes the face ahead.]
so sorry for the super late backtag on this. feel free to ignore if you prefer!
You’ve brought it?
no worries
He'll step ahead to help close that gap, immediately reaching into a pouch at the mentioning of bringing it. It's offered forward in the same motion -- not carrying a ton of things with him at the moment. The vial's clear, comes with a case containing an unused syringe for future use. Maybe the liquid could just be ingested orally? He's not sure. They were distributed with those needles, so.]
Yeah, [Belated, but there's some affirmation.] that's what was left, should be good enough for one person, at least.

He snaps the case shut once more as his gaze flickers back to Keith. ]
This helped your friend? This small amount was all it took?
no subject
Just that, without supplements later on.
[To his knowledge.]
If anything changes, we'll have to meet up again. It works best with the syringe.
[There's a pause there...skeptical himself -- trying to gauge whether or not he'd know what to do with that information.]
