The gun allows for long-range combat, but swords require closer proximity. Perhaps there could be an opening for you to get closer, but that would largely depend upon how much time there is between each discharge. That would vary by gun.

Depends on the armor and the bullet.

If you won't take advantage of the tools available to you, then you have to learn how those tools work. Many opponents pick up a gun and only focus on what's down the sights... if something's in front of them they fail to consider what might be behind them.
