That is why you give them fewer options. The idea is to run at them low with your arm raised to protect your head. Once in closer quarters, the situation becomes easier especially for one of your build.

You're running at them. Hopefully at full speed.
They could attempt to aim at your feet but it's a gamble. Most will attempt to go for the part of the body that they can for certain hit, the torso and the like, my iron captain. So long as you're mostly curled up on yourself as you run -- provided you don't have something to act as a shield instead of your own body -- it mostly will end up fine.

Panic tends to take a person when bullets end up not slowing someone down.

NOT UNLIKE ARCHERS, THEN. THOUGH GUNS HAVE MORE BULLETS TO SPEND. WITH A PROPER SHIELD, IT MAY DO WELL.

More bullets, more accuracy in some cases, far more piercing than an arrow's point. But yes, with a proper shield, it may work to fight someone with a gun.

Or seek cover until they run out of ammo.

Yes. They were not innocents and they were not a sacrifice for my god, however. What they were... they were heretics. They were those that used magic to torture and kill others, and my god denounces such evil. Yet he loves all, but there is a secret sacrament that allows for the hypocrisy in murdering in his name.

I felt if I just simply answered with "yes," that may make me out to be a fanatic. I fear I am not. Truly, if I were a fanatic, I would feel far more joyous for what I did.
