[ He's done his reading. He's lurked around the Red Light district for answers. 9S has seen a lot recently, but he still doesn't know. It's an itch in his mind waiting for a good scratch, but observation and research hasn't quite done the trick. He's got the basics down, he thinks, but it still seems a little too personal to test the waters himself. Being physical with someone like that? He may as well give a stranger his personal decryption codes. He's made friends here and most people aren't so bad, but the vulnerability still bothers him.

9S is more than a little exasperated with wondering. The world, especially a new one like this, is full of so much else yet there's so much focus on that one activity. ]

Why are humans so obsessed with sex? Aren't there more interesting things to do?

[ Phrasing it like that might ease the "why are you so weird?" "i'm an android" part of a conversation, he thinks, but 9S realizes it's strange enough that people will be confused regardless. This was a terrible idea. Where's the delete function on this thing, anyway?

Sigh.]

At least it's not war, I guess.

That's a pretty broad scope for me, actually. My world was a lot different from here.

Well, I'm always willing to hear about where other people came from. [That's an invitation if ever there was one.]

There are a lot of people here who came from Earth, but not necessarily mine.

Where I came from, we'd been fighting the machines to take back the planet for thousands of years. Humanity wasn't exactly thriving in the midst of all that. Nothing was.

I still find it odd that that's what they've chosen to name it. [Who seriously names their realm after DIRT? It's said as an aside, though, and he hasn't gotten an answer yet, so he's not expecting an explanation. Aside from that comment, though, he's quiet and attentive.]

Really? What's your world called? [ He doesn't really have an opinion on the name, but he's never really thought about it before. ]

Machine lifeforms, technically. They were sent by aliens.

We don't have a name for the whole world, no one has seen the entire thing--uh, so far as we know.

The Tevinter Imperium called the continent "Thedas," however, and that is essentially the bulk of the known world. There might be others across the ocean, however, which could be where the Qunari come from, but we're not sure.

The Qunari are a rather tight-lipped people, and no one outside of Par Vollen knows much about them. Save, of course, for the Tevinter Imperium.

[He's passingly familiar with the term "alien" now, he's heard it thrown around a few times and by context, he's pretty sure of what it means. The rest? Not so much.]

What sort of...machine lifeforms do you mean?
