[This post is made at around 3am, and Prior appears to be curled in a corner of his bathroom floor, in a pink cardigan and floral PJs.]

Forgive my intrusion on what, I am told, is a highly complex network of cups and strings... has anyone else been assigned to an empty house? Quite, quite empty. Aside from myself, of course, but I'm all moved in now and find I do not, in fact, take up that much room. And it's very quiet, at this time of night. Very quiet. The emptiness becomes somehow moreso. Does that make sense? I'm not sleeping very well.

[He's not doing much very well, by the slightly shivery look of him. Although it is cold on the bathroom floor, and perhaps that's at least part of the cause.]

Though I can't deny the extra space is a boon. Very handy for storing all the nothing I have to fill it with. Would anyone like to go antiquing? If we're lucky we may even find something here that doesn't look archaic.

Speaking of looking for things. I hear there's no hospital. Do we have pharmacies? I have prescriptions from my own world which will run out soon and I don't know the best course of action to take. This city can't, surely, be all cons and no mod. Are there ballrooms? Movie theatres? I know there's an entertainment district but haven't yet ventured out that far. I suppose a bar with a rainbow flag in the window would be too much to ask for.

[Swallowing, he glances down, feeling the glare of being on camera and saying too much.]

Perhaps I should set something up downstairs. At the very least, I have the room.

[He reaches out, and the screen goes black.]

[Oh, not at all. Prior's come much closer to losing his mind than this. Things will be fine once the sun's shining and the world starts to feel as though there's more than him in it.]

There wasn't a great deal of time to book an interdimensional removals service before the storm. [He clasps his hands lightly.] I had some wonderful dining chairs, salvaged from the refurb at the Plaza. Gone.

[It's not really the furniture he misses (and the house does come with its own).]

They really have scattered us like birdseed.

The theatre productions in the entertainment district are quite good. Perhaps you ought to try venturing.

It is a while since I've taken in a show. [Swapping one dark room for another. It's a thought.] Do they have musicals, here? I fear if anything's universally ubiquitous it may be Cats.

I saw it described as the city's prime location for magical liposuction which is, sad to say, slightly outside my needs just now.

I just want something familiar. Do they sell aspirin here, for example, or is it a case of visiting druids for some boiled willow bark?

I've not made it as far as the Entertainment District either yet, though I hear it's the place to be most evenings.

[ Music, street performers. It's bound to be different from what a lot of them are used to but it's something to pass the time. ]

[Prior's been living alone longer than he'd like, and that's still only a matter of weeks. He's not made for travelling solo at the best of times, and here it's worse. Here there's so little else to think about - and too much.]

I've heard surprisingly little, given that reputation. I'll have to make a point of seeking it out. I will. It just feels a little... unusual, going out to be entertained alone.

I'd seek a rainbow flag because I'm queer, darling. I can't say I was being more specific than that, but if seven warrior's sons are involved then color me intrigued.

Mostly just repeats of what I'm already on. Trimetrexate, um...intron A, ganciclovir... there are more, I just can't reel off all the names. They're like tongue twisters, I swear half the training for doctors must be in pronunciation.

My friends are still on ice so... maybe that's why the empty rooms. I'd throw a slumber party in the stasis unit, but none of them are as chatty as they used to be. Perhaps when I know a few more people here.

[There may be a saving grace in everyone he knows still being stuck in a pod. Put half of his friends in the same house for long and somebody would end up hurt. By a barbed tongue, if nothing else.]

Movie theatres? Oh, they're ... like regular theatres, but the play happened long ago, and somewhere completely different.

Either way, the feeling of loneliness is not one unfamiliar to him, so it's with some empathy that he responds. He appears to be, uh leaning over his phone while it sits flat on a table, but it's fine. It works.]

Just someone to talk to would be enough. I feel less alone already.

I have no housemates myself, either. I tell myself that it will at least give me the opportunity to find my feet her without embarrassing myself overmuch but... I grew up in a large house. Many maids and staff and servants and visitors coming and going. So I find the emptiness...

Not nobody. [There's a particular gratitude Prior feels for people who turn the video option on in response to his own post. He can't read text posts well, and disembodied audio can be... unsettling in ways of its own. Video's different, more real.] I can't imagine nobody having such striking hair.

[Forgive him, Peter, but it's late and his eyes are fuzzy on the very best of days - this not being one of those. He doesn't loook too closely at the screen of his phone other than to register some kind of teenage shape. Someone young. And well, aren't teenagers these days just so monosyllabic?]
