Sooo a while back I put in a little bit of a request with our alien overlord hosts. And shockingly enough it not only came through, it was actually what I asked for! Crazy right? Turns out good things happen to not-so-great people after all, which, obviously I don't mean me. I'm amazing.

Anyway what I got was this really awesome game from back home called "Bunkers & Badasses". So awesome in fact that there's still a copy of it even after the universe was destroyed which I feel is pretty indicative of the sheer levels of awesomeness we're dealing with here.

I don't know if any of you guys had tabletop back home but basically you create a character by choosing your fantasy race and class, and then you go on adventures and roll a bunch of dice! Bunker Teams are best in groups of four but being the utterly amazing Bunker Master I am, I'm willing to accommodate anyone who's interested in playing through a short campaign or two. The rules aren't too hard and making a character is easy.

I'm thinking maybe in the next two weeks or so? Let me know if you're interested or have any questions.

she's succumbed to doing this B&B thing but seriously she barely knows what "fantasy" entails

so GOSH she's actually showing him how out of her depth she is about all this you'd better be happy!!]

Rhys, I barely know anything, I didn't read a lot when I was a kid, okay. I don't know what's considered "normal" for a... fantasy world or whatever. [And everything else she read in the Command Cluster..... well. That's not knowledge she can access.] What are other people doing?

[ Oh no Anemone....ANEMONE HES SO PROUD, LOOK AT HER COMING TO HIM AND ADMITTING STUFF ABOUT HERSELF AND ASKING FOR HELP. He's such a good not!uncle??? Best role model ever?? Yeah sure he's trying not to look as pleased and proud and honoured as he feels when she calls him up like that and he turns on his own video, but...it's there. What a nerd. ]

Well we've got a lot of different stuff. Barbarians, mages, even a fairy navigator. It's a pretty diverse group. If you need some general fantasy ideas...this magic, dragons, hoards of treasure and bandits on the road. Lost ancient artifacts of good and evil, goblins and orcs... The usual.

...what's a fairy navigator. [???] The usual. Right. [She frowns. She only knows how to be her. How does she be someone else? What would she want to be? Who?

The problem with video is she can't hide the flash of sadness, there and gone, that comes over her expression. Wow. B&B sucks.

She tries to cover up that moment.]

I guess... I don't know, she's trying to find some lost artifact that's supposed to bring peace. Or something. [She huffs out a breath, looking kind of flustered, and mumbles.] Maybe that's dumb.

[ Just you wait Anemone, he'll show you the player's handbook and nerd it up for real.

He catches the flash but wonders if it isn't because she feels left out or something, and if that's the case then he'll make sure it doesn't saty that way. ]

Whaaaat? No way, that's not lame. That's totally fine Anemone. [ Oh no that's so cute, she looks her age for once and not a total brat????? Rhys is like, infinitely proud of her here. ] What about something like...."The Verity Bell"? It's an ancient treasure of a long-forgotten civilization that once covered the land. Some unknown calamity struck, and nearly every trace of them vanished from the world entirely. But somewhere, waiting to be unearthed, is the Verity Bell! A magical item so powerful it's said it brought and end to a centuries-long war with just one ring.

[It's probably better that he thinks of it like that. The truth is much more depressing, and she certainly doesn't want to acknowledge it.

His response gets a startled smile out of her though. He's too good to her.]
