Sooo a while back I put in a little bit of a request with our alien overlord hosts. And shockingly enough it not only came through, it was actually what I asked for! Crazy right? Turns out good things happen to not-so-great people after all, which, obviously I don't mean me. I'm amazing.

Anyway what I got was this really awesome game from back home called "Bunkers & Badasses". So awesome in fact that there's still a copy of it even after the universe was destroyed which I feel is pretty indicative of the sheer levels of awesomeness we're dealing with here.

I don't know if any of you guys had tabletop back home but basically you create a character by choosing your fantasy race and class, and then you go on adventures and roll a bunch of dice! Bunker Teams are best in groups of four but being the utterly amazing Bunker Master I am, I'm willing to accommodate anyone who's interested in playing through a short campaign or two. The rules aren't too hard and making a character is easy.

I'm thinking maybe in the next two weeks or so? Let me know if you're interested or have any questions.

Cool! So that'll be support. Do you want to straight-up just healing, or do you want so play someone that can heal party members and also give them buffs and stuff?

Buffs? Like, extra powers or what does that mean?

It's stuff like increasing attack or defence, dice rolls, making them more resistant to damage. All pretty useful honestly! Bards can even help their parties resist charm which can be pretty devastating.

Making them more resistant to damage sounds amazing! I want to be able to do that.

Alright then it sounds like a bard would be more your cup of tea. They're kind of jack-of-all-trades at lower levels, but by third they can cast spells and magic while stealthed which is pretty dang awesome.

Cool!! [ wait ] Does that mean I should sing? [ that's what bards do, right?? ]

I mean, if you want to. If you actually sing I'll give you bonus points for it but you don't have to. It's just added flavour to the game.

I don't think I will, then. [ though who knows, maybe she'll get into the spirit. ]

No worries. Like I said it'd just an added thing for fun. You can just say you're casting your spell and I'll count it.

Okay! That, I can definitely do.

Cool! Now you just need to pick the most important thing: your character name. What're we going to name this spoony bard?

Oh. I'm terrible with names.

[ and, a good minute later: ]

Maybe Winnex. [ winn. alex. two people she admires and misses. ]

Maybe Alinn? Is that better? Alines?

Alinn is probably good! That doesn't sound like any sort of cleaning product I've ever heard of.

Aww, that's kind of cute? Like sentimentally cute. I'm sure they'll be a great Bard.

I miss them. But yeah, Alinn is going to be great. Probably. I hope!!
