Sooo a while back I put in a little bit of a request with our alien overlord hosts. And shockingly enough it not only came through, it was actually what I asked for! Crazy right? Turns out good things happen to not-so-great people after all, which, obviously I don't mean me. I'm amazing.

Anyway what I got was this really awesome game from back home called "Bunkers & Badasses". So awesome in fact that there's still a copy of it even after the universe was destroyed which I feel is pretty indicative of the sheer levels of awesomeness we're dealing with here.

I don't know if any of you guys had tabletop back home but basically you create a character by choosing your fantasy race and class, and then you go on adventures and roll a bunch of dice! Bunker Teams are best in groups of four but being the utterly amazing Bunker Master I am, I'm willing to accommodate anyone who's interested in playing through a short campaign or two. The rules aren't too hard and making a character is easy.

I'm thinking maybe in the next two weeks or so? Let me know if you're interested or have any questions.

Seeing as you are such an amazing bunker master-should I capitalize that?

What would you tell someone who had never heard of such a thing that would make them interested in participating?

[ because if so BOY YOU'D BETTER BE READY FOR A PITCH ZEVRAN. Rhys's job for the last 3 years has basically been to blow hot air around. He's been preparing for this moment his entire Hyperion career. ]

Have you ever wanted to be someone you're not? Something greater? A wealthy merchant peddling wares from a long-gone civilizations. Picture all of that and more as you and a group of like-minded individuals, your teammates and comrades, journey across the land seeking fame, fortune, glory! Tons and tons of sweet loot!

That is why Bunkers and Badasses is great, and why you should totally join us.

You are aware, yes, that I have done several of those things? The travel and loot part in particular. There were also dragons.

[It's a rhetorical question. He teases because he likes you, you know that, right? He's not one to think about the first question, really, at least on a real-life level. That way lies madness, Rhys. Madness, and regret. Still, the least he can do is come along to the party and humor the guy. ~Friendship~]

What if you can't think of anything else to be but yourself? And, where do the dice come in, exactly?

Oh right...I remember you mentioning dragons before. back when we first landed.

I don't really mind facing a dragon again, so long as it's fictional. And you haven't answered my question.

Right right. Dice! They're basically what we roll to determine if you're successful in whatever action you're doing or for calculating how much damage you do.

[ Rhys will imagine that very, very hard. ]

So, not for say, when you gamble with the other players? Or could that be a thing?

If you want to gamble in-character you could use them like that! But most of the time you'll be using a twenty sided dice and not the usual six. ]

Interesting. If you'd be willing to teach as we go, I'd be interested in seeing this awesome table top game idea in action.
