[ The feed turns on with a young elven man. Blond, windswept hair pushed from his eyes so the green shines more prominently. He sits at the head of the bed, leg crossed over the other, fingers knitted together and folded in front of him. There's a look to his face, one he's practiced enough to make it seamless and natural; it's focused, determined and confident.
He's planned it in his head, figured the speech. Now it's time to present. Hopefully, all bases are covered.
A smile plays on his lips but it's still with that air of leadership. ]
To my fellow refugees of Thesea, I am Inquisitor Lavellan.
Back in my world of Thedas I was the leader of a group known as the Inquisition. The goal of our group was to bring order back to a world that was thrown into chaos by an event known as The Breach.
In the end, it appeared we've failed due to the matter of the Storm, but I didn't come here to talk about failure. I came here with an idea and to succeed.
[A small pause for dramatic effect before he continues.]
We are a group of diverse people, probably the most that any of our individual worlds have ever seen. We come with different experiences, as different races, creeds, and a variety of knowledge.
What I'm suggesting is something similar to what my Organization has done. We bring order. We work together, bring our talents and skills to the forefront and find a way to destroy the Storm and hopefully save what we have lost. If there is a chance we may be able to restore our own worlds and go back to our lives if we choose too.
Darma said we must choose our side but I believe we can make our own. The foundation I'm looking to make is a neutral ground but with the end goal of defeating the Storm. That is our true enemy.
[ Finally, he unlaces his fingers and gestures a hand, holding it out to the side. ]
But, I do not intend to elect myself leader. I was chosen for the position back home for a quality I possessed but here? We're all on equal ground. I don't make any assumptions you would choose a complete stranger as a leader who has yet proven himself to all of you. What I suggest is we make a council instead. Those who are familiar with leading or have that quality, are willing to take up the duties required for it and will help do what is right.
From there, we would need agents, volunteers. Anyone willing to lend aid in gathering research and to help us secure some kind of base where we can operate from.
[ The smile becomes more broader, brighter and it's brimming with confidence. All playing into that careful mask he had to build back home when facing the mass public.]
I believe we can do this together. We showed that even when we were thrown into disarray we can unite and overcome. Consider what I've suggested.
For now, have a good day everyone.
[And he clicks off.]

[ Edmund knows that impossible is not a word that Aslan would let him dwell on. That nothing in life in impossible so long as you believe them to be possible — but there is always that thought, that perhaps being too optimistic is not the smartest idea to begin with. ]
I applaud the enthusiasm, but perhaps reality will not be ask kind as you think. Would it be so terrible to find our own footing and create a home in a new world that's been given to us. Though I agree, the Storm is the real enemy that we must all face eventually.

He wouldn't let that moment go to waste here, not while he still breathed. ]
It's fine to get our bearings, it's fine to settle and find a home here, but becoming complacent; to grow too comfortable isn't something we should do. Getting a foothold is a start, helping the people of this world is something we should strive to do, but after that we must think ahead to the very big problem that lies in the future.

[ Would there even be anything to return to? Edmund doesn't know, would rather not speculate on what-ifs. ]
Straying too far from the present is troublesome. You talk plenty about the future and what we can do, banding together to defeat a common enemy, but it seems as though you're holding on to the past. [ Edmund sighs. ] Tell me, if or when we defeat this Storm, what will you do when you find out that your world cannot be saved after all?
no subject
[ And he can't let himself fall into that.
And Edmund just plucks a string that's all too sensitive a subject for him. Something that brings a sadden look to his face. ]
My people lost their history once before. We did everything we could to grab at what fragments we could find and hold onto them. It was, it still is my duty to hold onto the past.
[ As for that question it's a bit of a gut punch but he tries to remain steely. ]
I shall do what I've always done. Do what's best for others. If my world lays in ruin I will help guide the people of my old world to a new one that would take them and any refugee that lost their's as well.
[ There's a short sigh. ]
I know all to well about what it's like not having a homeland. In the end, it would be no different. But, I would not want to shoulder the burden of having no home on another.

That aside, if he knows anything, he knows that Aslan would enjoy that little show of optimistic earnestness. And he would look at Edmund with his dark eyes, shake his mane, and Edmund would do his bidding no matter what it entailed. Aslan is not here, of course, but the sentiment remains. ]
You speak words that hold truth that I believe in. I will not hold you unfairly to promises so grand, but if your goal is good and just, then I offer you my counsel and whatever skills you and this organization needs that I may possess. In Narnia, they named me a king and called me just. Our people and even others beyond our realm seek my counsel in many grave matters.
I am also a warrior. I fight with my people, for my people, and I will not do any differently here.

If Josephine were awake she'd practically be fainting at the prospect of several kings and queens and princesses all wanting to join such a cause. ]
Well, this is quite the surprise, my friend. A king? I didn't even suspect it. [ He's grinning from ear to ear, but it doesn't really matter. What matters is another person wanting to help. ]
Still, I thank you for your aid in this and whatever advice you have.

[ Edmund's almost smile widens this time, morphing into a pleased smirk. He did not set out to introduce himself as king to everyone he meets, only when it's necessary. The lack of a crown signifies the lack of a kingdom, and for all he's worth as royalty in one land, it's not so vital a title in many others.
Still, an organization with so grand a plan as this requires the spectrum of his knowledge and skills, and that includes the potential value of his rank. One way or another, politics will be involved. Better to start the journey by introducing himself as a player rather than a pawn. ]
Have you decided yet on a date and location where all of us could meet?
no subject
Not quite yet. I'm still complying a list of our intended goals and the provisions we require. Once I have it done I can set a meeting proper. But, it'll be in my dorm.
[ It's no keep but it'll have to do. ]
no subject
[ To put it lightly. Not to mention that they have share those spaces with other peopl as well. ]
We might need more space, unless you deem it satisfactory for the moment.
