I feel as a group of people, we've gone over many of the logistics, the fears and the desire to connect with others. We carry within ourselves, a world that may be long gone but continues to breathe in our hearts and I hope we can bring what is best of all our worlds together.

So my question is this: What kind of plans do you have for yourself? What kind of future do you hope to achieve?

Perhaps by working together, we can all come closer to our goals.

It's hard to say. I think...back home, our city was divided due to a disaster, and instead of coming together, the two halves of the city forced each other apart, built a barrier in between each other and refused to support...that society hurt all of us, in a way.

...I think the kind of place I want is a place they don't have to worry about that. Where we can all heal, make it a place that we would have made our city into.

That's similar to what I'd like to achieve here. We can share the best of all our worlds and bring about something new. A place where everyone is welcome.

[It all comes back to that, doesn't it? If that's the case, then...perhaps it doesn't matter if he doesn't have much of a clue on his own, right? If there are others to help, then...

He should really stop forgetting that kind of thing, shouldn't he?

Although now, he's curious. For someone else to have a similar dream, to want a place where everyone could be welcome, could this person also...?]

In your home...were you hurt, as well? [Ostracized? Abandoned? Despised?]

I'm afraid you might need to be more specific than that. I've been hurt in a number of areas.

I mean...in a way that would make you prioritize building a place where people could be together. Were you lonely?

Yes. I had a school for people like myself. A place that others could call home. I certainly was a lonely child.

I knew...someone like that.

It was. For me and for other children. People who didn't know where to go.

That doesn't surprise me. I doubt I'm the only one who feels this way.

A place for lost people to go...that certainly sounds like what we all need right now, ah?

[They've all lost everything they know, huh?]

I'm glad, though, that you said we should do it all "together." A place like that...it could be dangerous if only one person tried building it.

It was a very specific school. I don't know if I can recreate that here.

No one person should be in charge of just. Handling everything. We're all in this together, aren't we?

Maybe not something that specific, but in "spirit," right? If it's that kind of place, I'll do what I can to help.

[Yusei's the kind of person who works best if he has a purpose to follow on someone else's behalf. Just the idea existing is enough to give him some kind of direction. When will he follow his own dreams, though...?]

I'm Yusei. [as you could probably guess by the username. ha.] What I've been doing here so far...I'm trying to understand the technology of this world. It's fascinating.

I am Charles Xavier.

It is certainly miles ahead of what we have. Though I've always been bad with technology. My associate, Hank, was much better at working with what we had than I was.

From my own experience, it's all over the place. The electricity is familiar, if a little outdated, and the steam engines are definitely so. But the televisions and phones...I can't make out what they use to transmit things. Every answer I've gotten amounts to just "magic."

Now that is interesting. Magic-powered technology is certainly new to me. Or perhaps they're not aware of the source of energy they use. A new form of radio signal perhaps?

I think so as well. I don't have any means to test it, so for now I'm trying to figure out these transmitters. If I can at least replicate them, that's a start.

The Institute might have better tools to use in order to gauge what it might be.

It might, but I'm not sure if I want to go there just yet.

...No, you're right about that. What I've been able to do so far, it's because I had others helping me.

I haven't ruled out going there yet. But I'm keeping my options open for now.
