I feel as a group of people, we've gone over many of the logistics, the fears and the desire to connect with others. We carry within ourselves, a world that may be long gone but continues to breathe in our hearts and I hope we can bring what is best of all our worlds together.

So my question is this: What kind of plans do you have for yourself? What kind of future do you hope to achieve?

Perhaps by working together, we can all come closer to our goals.

Knowledge, personally. There's very little I know of this world and the Institute is the best place to start.

Some might disagree...but at the very least, it's definitely a good place to start looking. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious.

[ Don't turn his wheel chair into a card playing bike. ]

Splendid. I can reimburse you if it's too expensive and takes too much of your time.

[He won't! Turn it into a bike. The card playing-option might still be on the table.]

If you could give me a time and place to meet you, I could perhaps fix it at your current residence. I assume you have it there, right?

[D'aww. Then again, Yusei can only imagine how difficult it would be for a man to get anywhere without the wheelchair he would have been relying on.]

Well perhaps you should take a look at it first. It's rather basic at the moment. Can you come over?

[And...hey, he actually is there fairly promptly. Or as promptly as one can get when you're going from House 1 to House 36 with a small sack of salvaged tools.]

[ Charles blinks, not expecting such a prompt reply. He moves his chair to the door, opening it carefully. ]

Yusei, I presume?

[Yusei nods. However he sounded like over text, was this really what Charles imagined? A young teen with stoic eyes and stiff posture and a voice that sounds a bit too deep for his age? Hum.]

Ah. And you're...Xavier, is it?

[axiomed]

[ He had some idea. Charles is fairly perceptive when it comes to figuring people out, text or no text. He throws Yusei a warm smile before moving his chair aside so that he could step in. ]

Charles, please. Xavier is far too formal.

Ah...right, then, Charles.

[Yusei can deal with that. He steps in, leaving enough room for the door to be closed.]

What seems to be the problem with the wheelchair...? [He noticed you were moving around in it, so either that's a temporary one or there's something that's making it more difficult to move around in. Or was it an electric one that lost functionality...? Hm.]

There isn't one, per se. It's mostly a basic fold up chair. Which is fine but it makes it difficult for rockier terrain and of course, it slows me down if I travel long distances.

[ Most of this is delivered in a matter of fact tone. Charles has long made peace with his wheelchair. It's difficult, but not something he agonizes over. ]

google-fu shows me that all-terrain wheelchairs actually exist and they look kinda goofy. bless.

Ah, so it's mobility that's an issue...I assume coming here with the rest of us through the woods must have been a trying endeavor, then.

[Yusei visibly starts thinking. It looks like he's already absorbed in trying to solve the problem.]

So, a more durable wheelchair that can handle better terrain, is it...?

Yes. Is it possible? I know resources are a little tricky right now. I used to have an electronic chair but I assume . . . [ He trails off, shaking his head. Charles can't be greedy. The fact that he has his chair is thanks enough. ]

but the important question is: do you want a magical tank treads wheelchair for professor x

It shouldn't be too difficult, considering electric technology does exist here. You'd be surprised with what you can make with limited resources.

[Seriously. Have you seen the bikes he made out of scrap? Incredible works of art, right down to a finished paint job.]

I think I can re-purpose them into something like this. You don't mind if I try and construct a different chair instead of working on the one you already have?
