[ username: Diana ]
( this is her first appearance on the network, but Diana might be recognizable to some all the same. she was easily spotted wandering the halls of Thesa Station, especially in the halls of the sleeping. considering her height and easy confidence, she does tend to draw attention as she moves around Olympia as well. even if she isn't recognizable, she might be after this.
while she's unused to this method of communication, she's tinkered with it enough to master it. at least enough to accomplish what she means to say. she speaks cleanly, and with clear purpose. )
Greetings. I am Diana. ( it's taken some doing, but she did manage to say her name without spitting out titles and who her mom is. someone should give her points for this. ) I come with a request for aide.
Our landing was made in haste, and damage was wrought from the lack of planning. We all remember the scars left on the land, the devices we left behind in our wake.
Considering our work here must be performed in secrecy, I suspect it would be wise to clean up what we can before the residents of this planet find it. Beyond that, we might be able to scrap and make something of the devices we were ejected in, and do something for the destroyed field that softened our landing.
If you would aide me in this, I would have your name. I suspect the sooner we start, the better. If you believe your hands will be of help, then they will be welcome.
( apparently that's it. Diana shuts off the feed without even a goodbye. nice talking to you, Wondie... )

[ He smiles back. ]
I was able to gain some control of those devices during the landing, in case you wanted more information about that.
no subject
I would know anything you can tell me. Do you know of what can be retrieved from the pods?
no subject
[ Don't mind him, he's going to nerd out a bit. ] The pods are pretty self-contained, meant to support a person through all that stuff we went through. It can run basic medical diagnostics on a variety of beings as well as the the outside environment within a small distance. Some of the other things are more basic machinery - the power structure, the doors, support systems, and then the computer that monitors and runs all of this stuff.
A lot of it can be repurposed, but as far as I can tell there's no way to get back in touch with the Natha through them. [ Or their network. ]
no subject
How difficult would it be to disassemble the useable parts? And could you teach those inclined to do just that? ( Diana doesn't see a point to wasting what they've been given, even if repurposing is more work than simply selling raw metal. )
Is there another way to make contact?
no subject
[ He frowns. ]
I don't think we can make contact with them unless they want us to.
no subject
What sort of tools would be required? Is there any way we might acquire some in Olympia before we depart?
( as for contacting the Natha... that's a troubling idea, though Diana has also never tried to contact. perhaps she should. )
The last we heard of them, they were mired in a disaster. Perhaps a way to contact will be made clear soon. ( she's hopeful, anyway. who knows without time to tell. )
no subject
[ Actually, he's not so sure. ]
If we can extract some of the more complicated pieces safely, we can store them for once we've figured out how to take them apart more carefully.
[ 9S is
a littleobsessed with someone back in stasis, so he's been trying to find a way. His technology isn't quite meant for that sort of thing. ]I hope so. I'm sure we could find some way to help them if they reached out.
no subject
( she's sympathetic to his concern, knowing it isn't a simple solution and things are already tense, it's hard lacking communication. )
Surely we will hear soon. If I hear of a way to make contact, I will inform you.
no subject
[ He's flattered by her concern. It amazes him how compassionate others are around here. It's wonderful! ]
Thank you, Diana. If you need any more help let me know, okay?
no subject
( she very well might; this area is not her expertise and she'll happily differ to those that know more. until now, though, she nods and closes the feed. )
