It may simply be an impression with no basis in reality, but it seems to me that since the Natha have left, more people have returned to stasis.

[ It sure does, otherwise John might as well be talking to himself. He thinks about that a long second. A third party? These things are all possible, but why. ]

But what's the motivation? I mean, I picked up the storm on our long range sensors before it hit. I guess they could have faked it if you want to go whole hog conspiracy theory, but giving that the benefit of the doubt they definitely rescued me and my people up before it swallowed us. So why save people and then manipulate who does and doesn't wake up? If you want to assume they caused it, there's still no good motivation for causing that much destruction only to drop people off on a random planet. Experimenting, I guess? Why experiment to the point that Darma had to kill herself, though? They already seem to know way more than us, what are they trying to learn?

You mean when the station seemed like it was attacked? When they put it in low power mode and fled? I'd half wondered if that was Magda but I don't know how to really prove it either way, or why they'd flee from one guy.

Well I didn't see what attacked the station or what went on there, but I guess if you mean a spooky new problem then I'd argue we really have enough without willing that into existence.
