nineteenfortyfive: (SICKNESS)

I feel like every time I use this thing it's something like this, isn't it?

[Claire's in front of the camera that's set on something, just so she can step back and motion at what once was her up-and-coming clinic. It still is, but... the holes in the ceiling and that collapsed wall that sent her medicine cabinet to the floor is a bit of a set back.

At least the roof isn't about to cave in. Probably. She glances up at a creak before looking back to the screen.]

My clinic's taken some damage, but not as much as the Sanctuary. If anyone would be so kind as to help me, be it medically or by doing some heavy lifting, we can set up some cots and treat people here. It's not a lot of space, but we can set up outside as well, and go out to those that aren't able to make the journey. Any and all help would be appreciated, and please feel free to discuss among yourselves if you've got any helpful ideas. Now's the time.

[It's sort of like the riots. But there wasn't a giant stone reminder of how they almost got destroyed looming in the sky.

Claire takes a breath before carrying on.]

I would also ask those who are able to help with the recovery and removal of bodies do so. With all the time... travel [was that a wince?] I don't know if we'll be dealing with rotting and festering corpses in the next few hours or not. People need to be returned to their families and properly buried.

Thank you.

Not exactly.

[Not that she doesn't have quite a bit more strength to her than might be expected, but no, that's not her plan here. With the prompting she turns to face the corner again, and this time she raises her hand up, palm down and arm extended straight out.

Should she close her eyes? It hadn't seemed to matter when she was clearing the cave in and she wouldn't be able to see where things were going if she did, so she settles on open, takes a breath, and lifts.

It doesn't look like much at first, but after a few seconds the stones and rubble begin to shift and then to rise, hovering in the air as Rey tries to fit things back together again based on nothing other than where she thinks they used to go.]

[Her squeak is a distraction, the talking moreso, but Rey is overjoyed to find that it doesn't actually make her drop the rocks- the bricks, she has to remind herself. They slot together like they might have been before, wedging back into place, and she smiles faintly at her progress.

Luke would be proud, she thinks. She hopes he would be.]

It's called the Force. I'm still... well, I'm still learning. It's new.

I guess we'll find out.

[Which is actually not a very funny joke if you happen to not be Rey, but her sense of humor has never been all that... you know, funny. It tends towards dark and it's something she hasn't quite learned to temper for the benefit of other people yet.

But after a few more seconds of pushing and pulling things into a configuration that feels right, she takes a step closer to the wall and raises her other hand because it seems like the thing to do. She pulls, pushes, and watches the bricks grind together until they stick.

Satisfied, her hands drop.]

There. Oh-

[And then she realizes a test is probably in order, sweeps her staff off her shoulder, and gives a good hard jab to the very center of where the hole used to be.

Nothing budges. How about that.]

[That gets a quick, aborted laugh out of her.]

Like I said, it isn't quite super strength but it's not far off.
