Dragons are completely terrifying, and highly respected, where I come from. Our currency is actually referred to as the Gold Dragon.

Which does give one amusing images of trading very tiny golden dragons for goods and services.

Don't worry, I'm sufficiently concerned about the idea of a big dragon already.

On a related topic, may I encourage the purchase of fire-proof clothing in your future?

Should it give you any solace, one that big hasn't been seen in nearly three centuries. My friend is encouraging me to offer my services to the dragon sanctuary, so I may well need it.

Not to alarm you but word on the street is the shamans are both really into dragons and really into bringing dead things back to life.

Combined, you see my problem.

Given that I was dead before I arrived here, as was a very dear friend of mine, I find myself oddly unaffected by this news. If they are, perhaps they are the ones who brought us back.

Though if you see any creatures who appear to be made of ice, I would move in the opposite direction quite quickly.

I mean, I'm pretty sure that was the Natha. I'm pretty sure the shamans are mostly into dragon resurrection. But, noted on the ice creatures all the same.

I haven't questioned it, I'm merely happy to be back.

Dragon resurrection does sound trickier. And more dangerous for people in the general vicinity. I merely wanted to provide income to the household, and it seemed as though every other place of employment here revolves around fighting or being fought.

And I am a TRULY terrible fighter. Legendarily so.

Well if we're going to be fighting potentially undead dragons maybe you can learn from the sanctuary how to convince them not to kill us.

Perhaps we ought to befriend them. They could be our allies.

I mean, sure. I'd love to be friends with a dragon. All the same, I'm sensing a complete lack of friendly intent from the shamans here.

Then we just befriend the dragons, apart from the shamans.

I don't even know if that's possible, but it's something to consider.

Hey, if you can pull it off more power to you. I'm just a worrier. I like to plan for the worst case scenario and be pleasantly surprised.

Sort of. No big dragon skulls in our past, though.

None at all, actually! The wyverns here are cool, though. Especially since they aren't trying to kill me.

I'm looking forward to working with them, surprisingly enough. To have been told so many stories about dragons and now to be able to see them every day is nothing short of spectacular, for me.

I'm generally more fond of things that haven't got an innate desire to kill me, though I'll make exceptions. Lets just hope we stick to small, easy to train ones and we don't have to put your training into practice on anything bigger.
