Good day. ( nightingale's tone is pleasant and polite, his accent the kind you'd hear from a bbc newscaster. ) I seem to have acquired a pet. Does anyone know how to best care for a sugar glider? ( ordinarily, he'd ask john watson, not because of his medical expertise but because the man seems to have amassed a small army of animals, but john is — unavailable. in stasis.

nightingale isn't going to let himself linger on the loss. )

I would also be thankful for restaurant recommendations in Flona Cove.

Well, if that's the case.

[He see's. Well, he wouldn't lie to himself and say he didn't enjoy some of the more touristy attractions as well...]

It's a bit of a walk but be sure follow the beaches to the areas closer toward the forests. It's a hike but if you're able to it's worth it. The beaches are not only much quieter and relaxing but the waters cleaner and the tides tend to be more forgiving. You also won't be harassed by peddlers as it's mostly locals who hand out around that area. It's also a fairly good fishing spot due to the lack of human activity.
smithandwesson: (I'll take you with me. Since I don't see)

Hmph. Just don't want to hear about yet another port sap getting his ass into trouble way over his head. It's amazing how common of a situation that is in this world.

It's less my worrying about you and more my despising what this lands effects tend to do to people with every waking fiber of my being.

[He says in the most mutually neutral response despite the strong wording.]
smithandwesson: Is that something to be proud of?! (To hear this coming from a guy who would)

[personal profile] smithandwesson 2018-05-31 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. Reminds me that I was making an attempt to do something about that. Then the hostage situation happened.

I should probably get in back with my contacts regarding that now that things have finally settled down a bit again.
smithandwesson: Shut up and start walking you stupid monkey! (It's only a short distance!)

I was trying to come up with a counter treatment. Nothing to completely wipe the effects this world naturally has on its people at times, but just something to temporarily quell the effects for those who don't wish to be affected by it.

I had both a magician and a potions master researching the matter before I lost contact with them as Olympia and Wyvers relations began to grow more volatile.

Now that things are a little calmer I may be able to contact them in regards to their progress.
smithandwesson: (...!!)

Not my magic.
Theirs.
Unfortunately, I was born with a complete and utter ineptitude to really understand that sort of stuff.
Not sure how well it will work as of yet since we're still in the research and funding phase of it all, but I remain optimistic.

[Which is rare for him!]

I suppose, seeing as I was the one who came up with the damn idea. But really I am just sick of such things trying to shove me into embarrassing situations I want no part of.

The fact that others may feel the same and require such a product themselves is simply happenstance. Although it certainly helps gain enough interest to at least have people partner up with me in creating it.

More than anything I am attempting to secure funding for it. It's not as it those who I hired on to work for me are doing it absolutely free and it's not as if they're particularly reliable either.

[Here's looking at you Faust.]

Most of the money I have been putting into the project has been through side jobs I've taken on or charitable donation.

Of course, if we ever do get to a human testing stage we'd need volunteers as well.
smithandwesson: (Suspicious)

[personal profile] smithandwesson 2018-07-04 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. So then should I add you to the mailing list?

[Because somehow he had managed to acquire one of those while working on this damn project.]
smithandwesson: (So much that it's embarrassing.)

[personal profile] smithandwesson 2018-07-15 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Very well. The next moment this product research decides to take a move forward I'll be sure to send you a detailed report as to what is being done and why you should be inclined to give me your money.

[He is the master of subtlety.]
