Good evening, fellow refugees. I go by Snake, and for the sake of preserving whatever culture we have, I have an inquiry. It is by all means optional, but I assure you that I have no malicious intent. You may ask questions of your own if you'd like it to be fair.

What sort of music did you listen to, back on your home world? Were their many genres, or did it all sound the same? Are there specific instruments, or was it all electronic? If there are no lyrics, how would you describe it? If there are lyrics, would you like to write them down? ... Did you enjoy it, or are you not the type to consume what must be one of the greatest form of art?

[He might be a little biased. He also has to take a breath, after all that.]

[That sure is a ceiling! He turns the phone to one side and then the other, like that would help him see more of what's going on in the room, and when it doesn't he just gives up and messes with the thing until it switches to VOICE.]

[It's cute that Zevran makes the mistake of thinking the feed is 3D, and a shame Snake can't make fun of him for it. Regardless of him switching over to voice, Snake has yet to realize the thing is automatically on video, and he gets a fantastic close up view of one of his shirt buttons as he picks it back up.]

Perhaps not paper books, but there are tablets that prove to be quite useful in composing. Have you truly never experienced anything that isn't so... medieval? Do the bards at least write any noteworthy lyrics?

I suppose it depends on what you'd consider noteworthy. The most enduring tales are old legends or histories--and of course, the love songs. Everyone enjoys a love song.
