If you haven't noticed, the bloody Sanctuary has closed its doors. Look miserable enough and you might be let in, but for now, I wouldn't go to them if you're in need of medical assistance. [Her way of helping--the less people banging at their door, the sooner they might relax. Unlikely, given the state of things, but she'll try where she can. Yet this has soured her opinion of the place, and Lysa.]

I've some things I've collected myself, and I'm sure some of you have managed to borrow supplies, so I suggest we all pool it together. Make our own temporary clinic until they allow us back in. A place to treat everyone, regardless of the madness in the streets. The residential district, preferably. Somewhere out of the way.

Ideally, no one will be hurt, but I don't think that's a realistic goal at this point.

[Looting, riots, vultures... no way blood isn't getting spilled.]

If you're a healer, and you'd like to assist, please do so. If you're hurt, let myself or someone else know. Someone can go to you or fetch you. We must rely on ourselves.

[She hesitates before adding:]

And I suppose if you feel like paying the Sanctuary a visit regardless, I can tell you where things are and what we could use.

Wyver. Not good here, either, I'm afraid.

Riots broke out. Looting, burning--the Sanctuary isn't letting people go there for shelter. I don't know where any of the city officials are, and I don't even know what spurred this. Tensions have been building but I didn't think it would come to this.

That's awful. The Royal Guard aren't doing anything?

Not that I've seen. No one in this bloody city is being helpful save for some of us.

[Which is ironic, considering the tensions lately. Go figure.]

I'm sorry to hear that. If I didn't have my hands full down here, I'd definitely come up and help out. As much as Olympia locals would let me, anyway.

I know you would. [He's always been eager to help.] Just be careful, please. Refugees are going to be easy to pin the blame on for this, I fear.

I don't know how they can possibly blame us for all this when they're the ones causing the trouble.

[He huffs a little.]

You should see them here in the city. There's not really any rioting or looting, but people are going around just looking for an excuse to fight or hurt somebody. They've got these big ceremonial bonfires going, too, and if they have any reason to suspect you're not a loyal Wyver citizen, they'll try feeding you to the fire.

We'd be an easy scapegoat.

[Claire sighs, rubbing her temple.]

Then maybe you're safer where you are. Just play the part. Do you have friends in Wyver with you?

I will... I am. I think they're mostly okay with me right now.

[Just a couple shamans looking at him askance, but that's nothing downing a tall glass of dragon blood can't fix!

And, uh... I have some acquaintances here. Not with me but they're around. Along with two kids from my World I'm... sort of looking after.

[Please don't tell her you've been drinking dragon blood, Terra.]

I'd gather them all up and hole up somewhere, if you can. Especially the kids.

[But all the cool kids were drinking it, mom-- I mean, ma'am.]

That's an idea. Maybe just head out into the wilderness for a while...

I don't know. El Nysa's got more than its fair share of vicious animals and monsters out there. Think I'd rather deal with people losing their minds than giant, hungry beasts.

[She looks a bit alarmed before he comes to his senses.]

Right. You might be able to reason with the people. Animals? Not so much.

Yeah, I can't understand the language of any of the animals here.

[He's still not sure why that is.]

Zasere really needs to fix the transporters already. I almost wonder if they're keeping those things down for a reason.

I wonder the same. Awfully convenient if they just so happen to stay "broken" for all of this.

Ah... Back where I'm from, there were animals that talked just like people. I'm not sure if we were all speaking the same language or if it was some kind of magic, but we could understand each other completely. Here I'm just listening to barking and growling and stuff and never really hearing words in the noises. I don't think the animals here know what I'm saying, either.

But yes, it's... a little odd, the transporter situation. I'm just hoping nothing else is going on up there they haven't told us about...

[Aggressively frets over sleeping people who are probably way safer than he is right now.]

Anyway, what about you? Plenty of friends to stick with up in Olympia? And your husband?
