[This is one stressed, unhappy Claire Fraser. She wipes at her forehead with the back of her hand before looking at the screen, clearly torn between trying to appear professional and not giving a damn and doing nothing to hide her agitation. After moment, the latter wins out.]

If you haven't noticed, the bloody Sanctuary has closed its doors. Look miserable enough and you might be let in, but for now, I wouldn't go to them if you're in need of medical assistance. [Her way of helping--the less people banging at their door, the sooner they might relax. Unlikely, given the state of things, but she'll try where she can. Yet this has soured her opinion of the place, and Lysa.]

I've some things I've collected myself, and I'm sure some of you have managed to borrow supplies, so I suggest we all pool it together. Make our own temporary clinic until they allow us back in. A place to treat everyone, regardless of the madness in the streets. The residential district, preferably. Somewhere out of the way.

Ideally, no one will be hurt, but I don't think that's a realistic goal at this point.

[Looting, riots, vultures... no way blood isn't getting spilled.]

If you're a healer, and you'd like to assist, please do so. If you're hurt, let myself or someone else know. Someone can go to you or fetch you. We must rely on ourselves.

[She hesitates before adding:]

And I suppose if you feel like paying the Sanctuary a visit regardless, I can tell you where things are and what we could use.

[Not too long after this goes live, there's a text file attached with the address of a run down house not far from the starter homes, as well as a list of items that would be appreciated, including food.]

[ He does notice the thin smile. ]

You can call me Oland if that's better.

[Whoops. She's a little too expressive for her own good, sometimes.]

Don't mind me. I'll call you Randel. It's fine.

Back home, most people just call me 'Private'.

[ And the military coat he wears all the time would make it clear why that is. ]

[She'll send him the address. It's not pretty, but she's hoping that works in their favor.]

Well, either way, I appreciate your help. I do hope you'll just be sitting around for most of it, though.

All right. Please be careful. I've heard some glass breaking down the street.

I'll be careful. But thank you.

[ He'll make his way there in roughly fifteen minutes, and there's a rip in his jacket, but he doesn't appear to have any other injuries. And he is, well, nearly eight feet tall with a giant gun strapped to one side and a pair of... yes, those are shears. Tank-piercing shears. The lantern is there too, but it sort of fades in comparison. Somewhat curiously, the one at his hip is turned off even if he has one to light his way. And, of course, he'll knock. ]

[Claire expects someone a little out of the norm when she opens up, but the brief glance on the network didn't quite prepare her for this. She's a tall woman, but even she has to tilt her head back to see him properly.]

Oh. Uh.

[Randel. Randel, right. Maybe don't stare so much.]

Someone would have to be pretty desperate to start it up with you, wouldn't they?

Yes.

[ But there's no bravado to his speech. It's not even matter of fact. Instead, it's mostly... sad. A man in mourning. ]

Where would be the most helpful for me to stay?

[He a gloomy fellow for his size. Claire feels a little bad for her comment, but simply steps back, allowing him in.]

I don't need you standing guard outside. You can sit here, watch the door.

[She had found a decent chair for someone to sit in, but... she's wondering now if it will be able to support him.]

I should see if there's something more comfortable for you.

[toten_sie]

[ He tries not to be gloomy. But in situations like this, 'still functional' is about as good as he's got, unfortunately. All the same, when she clearly looks a little bad, he pushes up a smile. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't reaches his eyes. ]

I can sit on the floor. Or kneel to be ready if necessary. I'm sure the chair could go to others.

What? Nonsense. We've got... over there, there's a spare cot. Hopefully we won't need it for patients, so you can use it as a seat.

[Big fella. He doesn't need to be uncomfortable.]

[toten_sie]

[ He looks at it skeptically but he finally nods, heading to where she'd pointed out the cot was sitting. ]

If you need the cot for someone, I can stand. The people you're helping are more important.

[He's a gentle giant it seems.]

Please, don't worry. You're fine. Just make yourself comfortable. I can get you some water, if you'd like.

I can find it if I need it. But thank you.

[ He won't. She's running a clinic. She needs all the supplies she can keep for the patients. ]

Are you certain? It's the least I can do.

[Running a clinic, yes, but also a helper.]

[toten_sie]

[ There's a slow, even nod. Yes, he'll be just fine. He's done all right on much less while he was weaker, younger. ]
