[This is one stressed, unhappy Claire Fraser. She wipes at her forehead with the back of her hand before looking at the screen, clearly torn between trying to appear professional and not giving a damn and doing nothing to hide her agitation. After moment, the latter wins out.]

If you haven't noticed, the bloody Sanctuary has closed its doors. Look miserable enough and you might be let in, but for now, I wouldn't go to them if you're in need of medical assistance. [Her way of helping--the less people banging at their door, the sooner they might relax. Unlikely, given the state of things, but she'll try where she can. Yet this has soured her opinion of the place, and Lysa.]

I've some things I've collected myself, and I'm sure some of you have managed to borrow supplies, so I suggest we all pool it together. Make our own temporary clinic until they allow us back in. A place to treat everyone, regardless of the madness in the streets. The residential district, preferably. Somewhere out of the way.

Ideally, no one will be hurt, but I don't think that's a realistic goal at this point.

[Looting, riots, vultures... no way blood isn't getting spilled.]

If you're a healer, and you'd like to assist, please do so. If you're hurt, let myself or someone else know. Someone can go to you or fetch you. We must rely on ourselves.

[She hesitates before adding:]

And I suppose if you feel like paying the Sanctuary a visit regardless, I can tell you where things are and what we could use.

[Not too long after this goes live, there's a text file attached with the address of a run down house not far from the starter homes, as well as a list of items that would be appreciated, including food.]

Depends. How tall are you? I want to know how far above you I really am from my high horse.

[ Miles has been ... careful to angle the video in ways that hide his extreme lack of height. Not that always helps, but. It's enough to make him very uncomfortable about just spouting a fact that would be all too obvious in person. ]

Oh? How tall are you, then?

[He's noted the camera, but it's never been a priority to meet the guy in person or know those kinds of details until now. Even then, he doesn't actually care.]

Depends. My high horse can be shorter or taller that is directly related to my ego at any given time.

Quite the flexible horse you have there.

[ He's still not telling you. ]

It suits my needs. Maybe someday you'll find one.

I suppose literal horses would be common enough here.

[ Or other things to ride; Miles' eyes spark with interest at the thought. ]

I don't mean a literal common horse, champ.

[Ugh, you are no fun.]

Oh, I know. But it would be a great delight to ride again all the same.

[ He does miss his horse rather terribly. And he likes this conversation better than the one about his height. ]

Now sounds like a great time to give it a go. It will take the edge off of all the looting and fighting and fire.

I'm surprised you're not out in the middle of it already.

I don't believe in looting. I fight where I believe it's reasonable to. Get to know me better before making those kinds of assumptions.

[ Miles hadn't intended that as a compliment, no, but he hadn't quite intended that either. ]

I meant the general chaos. Fighting and such.

I thrive in the chaos of combat and war, but that doesn't mean I go looking for that kind of activity when innocent lives are being torched. I do actually have morals.
