[ so... Garrus likes poking around the network. he likes it a lot. but it's the first time that he's actually... really gone through with the effort to make a post on on it. might as well start with the small talk. ]
so, i've been up for a while and i can't help but notice something.
there's a lot of humans around here. a lot of humans that are awake, and not so many of any other species. take me, for example. back home, as amazing as i am, i'm only one example out of billions of turians. here, i'm the only one.
if you ask me, it's a little strange.
does anyone have a good, sound, scientific explanation for this? like humans are more storm-proof, or something? and how many of you guys are the only ones of your species that are around? are you used to it? do you find it weird that the locals don't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary?
all i'm saying is there's a lot of questions.
[ oh, and for good measure... ]
and, if any of you orbiters are hanging out around here, you're also welcome to answer!

I think the sound, scientific explanation is probably that the Natha have a bias. I'm sorry, Garrus. You deserve to have more of your people here.

[ "a little weird" being an understatement.
as to her other comments... ]
see, before everything went on back home, that was actually a pretty big argument between everyone. humans just showed up thirty years ago, and they already managed to do better than most species do in centuries.
but i don't know. other than a few insensitive comments here and there, i don't think you guys are so bad.
[ after all, it's not like his species was exactly on the "pacifist" end of the scale. ]

Mind you, there are a lot of species who look human but aren't. Careful how you categorize. You might be in less a minority than you believe.

[ that the humans called the "first contact war". look. it was just a few planetary invasions. no biggie. ]
so i've seen. that's another funny thing too, though. why do so many non-humans look almost exactly like humans? i mean, back where i come from most of us have the same two arm two leg combination, but there's usually just a bit more variance than that.
[ but hey, he's an engineer, not a biologist. ]

And I suppose the two-arm-two-leg thing makes a bit of a case for some sort of creation myth, but I still can't make myself buy it.
